ABC Chem Dry Shop

I accepted one of these to get my carpets cleaned.

Fee: $25.00
Expenses: Up to $225.00
Spec Exp: Up to $10.00

I made an appointment and they are sending me a bottle to ship back to them (spec. exp.) filled with the cleaning solution.

There are tons of pictures required including inside and outside of truck, all four sides,, equipment used, picture of the employee, employee holding the bottle of cleaning solution and reveal letter and more.

Has anyone done these? Are the employees cooperative with all the picture requirements and filling the solution bottle.

Thanks.

It was very simple, and well worth it to get my carpet cleaned. The employee was cooperative.
I did one about 3 years ago. It was pretty easy to get all the photos, and the employee was cooperative.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I've done these about seven times. I only had one location that was kind of obnoxious. The owner called me after the fact and tried to give me a hard time. I wrote it all up in the report and I don't know what happened but I did get paid. These are super easy!
Thank you for sharing this. I was considering it but now WILL NOT because I can’t risk a guy being upset and knowing where I live. I understand most of the time everything would go great, but if it didn’t that’s just too much. Taking a picture of the worker!? Seems gratuitous.

They know that they are getting shopped as part of their franchise agreement. It's not usually a big deal. The guy that was upset with me was the owner and it was because they tried to coming 5 hours ahead of their appointment and told them I wasn't going to be home. After the audit, he called me to question me about why I wouldn't let them come so early.
I did one 3-4 years ago, and I decided then that with one exception for a MSC that is based in my area (with an entirely different shop type), I will no longer do in-home shops. During my carpet cleaning appointment, the owner was mad, and said I betrayed his trust. I was alone at home during that shop, and my family urged me as a female to not put myself in such a vulnerable position again. It could have ended badly. Not trying to scare anyone, but just want to point out that we truly have no idea what type of response we will get, regardless of if shopping is part of their franchise agreement. It was scary to see the owner get upset and mad at the loss of control when I revealed myself.
The franchise I am shopping has very good online reviews of the employees that do the work. If they can actually clean the very dirty hallway carpets I need cleaned it will be a win win.
