Are there non Ford or Chrysler dealership oil changes available?

Are they shopped?

Is it an obscure MSC?

Is it invite only?

Is it automotive only?

Thank you.

You would more easily find oil change shops by just asking what MSCs do them for "most cars". This is because most oil change shops are not done at dealerships.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.

Thanks. That’s true! I know Valvoline used to be shopped, though I do not know by who. There’s also a large company that seemingly only offers poorly paying Jiffy Lube AUDITs near me, but YES your question was better.
I did several Jiffy Lube's over the years. They messed up my Tundra the last time I did one (pre-covid). By "messed up", they ruined the threads on the oil pan. I should have known something was wrong with how long it was taking, but I did not find out until the next time when I went somewhere else and the guy showed me and said WTF happened here. I am almost thinking about taking another one of these Jiffy Lube now and coming in with my Tesla to see if these clowns actually try to charge me for an oil change and say they changed the oil. That would be a hilarious report.
Yes, I get my Nissan's oil changed frequently at the Chrysler dealership when they allow non-chrysler Dodge vehicles to be serviced. I haven't paid for an oil change in years!

I took my foreign car to a Chrysler place. Shop instructions excerpt:

"VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS ...
Chrysler vehicles from 2007 or newer are given most priority...
Domestic vehicles from 2011 or newer are acceptable...
Foreign branded vehicles from 2011 or newer are also acceptable...
If you are unsure if your vehicle qualifies, please inquire."
There were many postings years back about Jiffy Lube screwing up people's autos. Would avoid doing them. Other oil change shops posted on jobslinger.com.

Normally if they cross thread the drain plug they will put a new plug slightly larger with a gasket to keep it from leaking. Not saying that's right or wrong, but if they do, they should probably tell you what they did.
I had one where they forgot to replace the oil filler cap (they left the cap in a nice safe spot on the radiator). I had oil all over the engine and the inside of the hood. They did give me a free oil change, but they were not pleasant. I started taking a photo of the engine before going in and looking for all of the yellow-colored caps after they (or anyone else) were done by comparing the photo to the engine.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
There was a shop done with Jiffy Lube that was more intense and involved going to a mechanic before and after so they could inspect the car and what Jiffy Lube did or did not do. I did a couple of these, but I wouldn't do them now. It isn't worth the time for the pay. Back in the day, I was willing to do more things than I am now. But there were mechanics that also did not want to get involved either. They wondered why I was doing this and worried about their liability as well.
