IHOP shops posted?

I just saw a few IHOP shops posted in Southern California. $30 reimburse and NO pay. I do not know how many were posted initially, but there are only 2 left now. I'm wondering how many people jumped on this just for free food and something new.

I liked the other MSC. You could get anything for the meal you are dining. This one you have to order a 3 cheese bacon omelet and protein pancakes. Massive amount of food.
It appeared they were testing a LTO (limited time offer). Okay, so maybe this was not regional, but if they posted all the locations in the greater Los Angeles area, there were a ton of people that jumped on it. I think this reimburse was more generous at $30 than the prior MSC. I never did one of these with the other company.

At this point I only see San Bernardookie and one other place out there.
I only see Santa Barbara which is a difficult to fill location. I often see open shops there. Too far a drive for me. Malibu is also a location like this. I guess movie stars and personalities like Oprah are not mystery shoppers.
When I lived in Woodland Hills (late 90s) a group of us would go to IHOP at times off Vanowen in West Hills. I can't remember visiting a IHOP since then. So maybe 20 years for me. Same with Wienerschnitzel and Yoshinoya. Places I haven't gone in forever and don't plan to return.

I got one here in the mid-Atlantic. DH & I have been talking for the last couple of weeks about ordering breakfast, so we're ready for this. And the local IHOP is less than 10 minutes away. I can only eat protein-rich pancakes, so I'm totally on board with this shop--fee or no feel. It looks like as long as you have one omelet and one side of the pancakes on your order, plus the beverage, you can order as much or as little else as you like. So staying close to the reimbursement for two people shouldn't be as hard as, say, staying near reimbursement is at TXRH.

Yep, i saw the IHOP job posted this morning. I don't work for free, and I won't eat their eggs.
I used to do IHOP with the old company, like 10 or 15 years ago. Don't know who does them now, but I would be interested in the protein pancakes- especially the lemon ricotta blueberry ones!
I took one. It's been a while since we have gone on a food shop besides FG. I don't spend money eating out, so this will be more of an occasion of sorts.
I saw them posted, but the one closest to me wasn't listed. I assume another shopper jumped on it. Maybe I'll get it next month. I did have my free IHOP birthday pancake coupon. I stopped in last week and ordered the lemon ricotta blueberry protein pancakes for takeout. Good thing they were free, because they were basic blueberry pancakes. Perhaps they need mystery shopping for takeout shops.
In nyc the omelette, pancakes, and coffee for 1 person cost $40 with tax and before tip.

They had a few in my area, north Alabama, but I had other going on at the time, and they went fast. I love eating breakfast out, and I wouldn't mind doing one for a change of pace.

We have a reward system in our house for completing extra academic work (non teacher assigned homework) and the reward is dinner out once a week. The kids pick the restaurant, and quite often they pick Ihop! So if I'm paying for it anyway, might as well get a $30 discount!
(I don't mind ordering the omelet, and one of my kids will go for the blueberry protein pancakes)

So yeah, I'll work for just a discount on food.
We haven't had breakfast out in I don't even remember how long. We sometimes order through Door Dash or GrubHub, but haven't sat in a restaurant for breakfast in ages. And it was pretty much our favorite meal to have out. So, yeah, I'll work for the discounted meal, too. Turns out my son will be with us, so we'll be over reimbursement by quite a bit, but I don't mind. It'll be fun for all of us to dine out together.

I love iHOP, have one just down the street from me. I did the shop, looked forward to doing it. I did not like their new Cheese Burger Omelet. It tasted way too sweet. I don't know what kind of sauce they used,, but it was very sweet. I did like the pancakes. You are required to order the new omelet. At least I got my money back.

My husband and I are going to split the omelet and pancakes, and he'll probably get a side order of something else for himself. We plan on getting the other version of the omelet (three cheese & bacon). Good to know that the pancakes are good. My husband is worried he won't like them, but I assured him they'll be good! (He's always wary of healthy food--LOL.)

Let us know what you think of the new omelets. It may have been just how this one restaurant made them. I took mine home and put hot sauce on it to cover up the flavor.
How long was the report? How much narrative? Willing to do it again? Did you stay within reimbursement or go over? The opportunity to give us so many useful details and they were left out :-(

Very easy report, yes, no, multiply choice, one or two sections of text. I went alone and stayed under $30. I should have ordered something more.
Is this with one of the larger mystery shopping companies? I'm not seeing them in my area, but maybe I'm not signed up with the company that has them now.
Thanks, Either they were all snatched up before I looked or they are not shopping them in this area.
If you get this shop. let us know what you think of the new omelet. The iHOP I went to made the omelet very sweet.

We ordered the cheesy bacon omelet, not the cheeseburger one, and it was delicious! And huge. I normally don't order cheese *or* meat (unless it's a Western omelet) in my omelets, just veggies, but this omelet truly was outstanding. It also has hash browns stuffed into it with the bacon and cheese, and is garnished with charred grape tomatoes cut in half. Honestly, it's probably one of the best omelets I've ever had. They give you a side of melted white American cheese sauce to drizzle over it, but who needs it with all that other cheese and stuff on it?

I had the lemon ricotta blueberry protein pancakes. They were very good, but there wasn't enough lemon flavor in them. I'd order them again, though.

Off to do the report; shouldn't be too difficult because the server didn't talk about either the LTO or the rewards program. So, not much narrative about those! All I had to do was ask about that and sign up.

Many of the IHOPs in my area have closed. Anyone else seeing the same issue?

I just found the IHOP shop. The guidelines say "Photos of food, receipt and deposit slip required." What do they mean by "deposit slip"?
