Misprint or just a feeble attempt at a bad joke?

I saw a shop on the job board today that paid $2.00 and required the shopper to go inside and take photos of all available menus. Was it a misprint that was meant to be $20, or are there actually shoppers who will work that cheaply? If so, I would like to hire you to do some work around my house for $2.

Which MSC was it? If the MSC was not known for being reasonable in its fees for other shops, I would guess $2 was not a misprint. Of course, that did not necessarily mean shoppers would actually do the shop for $2.
It would not surprise me in the least. The infamous drive-in burger shop starts off their cycle with a generous pay of $4.50, while informing you what you can and cannot order. You could grab a few at that rate right now if you're lucky! grinning smiley

I remember many moons ago when I started shopping (this was back when the only known MS forum was Volition, hosted by Ray Sola). A new company posted shops stating that "Regrettably, shoppers will not be paid" for a shop that the MSC was testing. The concept was that you would get your foot in the door with the company for future shops that would pay well, best I can recall. I don't remember the name of that company but I'm pretty sure they went belly up (that's southern-ese for defunct). It was the talk of the forum for quite a while.

The most ridiculous "low fee" shop I recall was years ago when a company wanted shoppers to go to hotel parking lots after dark to scout for business vehicles in the parking lot to recruit them as customers. If the shopper located any business vehicles, they were paid $1. If they did not locate any, they were paid $0.
I seen them but I believe it was $2 per business vehicle but yes still $0 if none spotted.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

I did a bunch of these but I was traveling on a regular basis so it was pretty easy to hit up the parking lot as I was checking in. I probably made over $1,000 on these shops.
Just curious to know if you ever saw any of the business vehicles you spotted as a new shop on the boards of the msc you were doing these shops for.

I did a bunch of those parking lot audits too, made some pretty good money. Gasoline was a lot cheaper then, I still was getting $300 to $500 a month. Usually on my way home after I had been shopping all day and making money.

I deleted it so fast that am not positive, but I think it was IPSOS. Maybe they will chime in here.
It was not Ipsos. But I think since we don't know who the client was, it's safe to say that it was About Face.
I saw it posted again for this month, and it is still $2 and way below whatever the minimum wage is in my state. It requires you to go inside and take several photos. Since the business has not been named, I can now reveal that the MSC is Intouch Insight.
