It's some kind of skin product for ingrown hair and shave bumps. I don't know, exactly. Even though I've got quite a lot of it now! Seems wasteful.

Moving product to get the stores to place a big order... their initial contract might have stated that the product would have a trial period where 'x' amount of products must be sold or they will discontinue carrying the brand.

I knew someone would know! Thanks! My only idea was that maybe the company selling the item wanted to sell their company and had to prove how their product is so popular that it's, "Flying off the shelves" to make top dollar in the sale of the company.

I come from a long line of mostly hairless people. The men in my family can't grow beards, or beards that look like beards anyway, the women in my family have no hair on their legs or in their armpits. I don't know what to do with shaving products.
It's like the tobacco products for the age compliance shops, my son bought cases and cases of of 99 cents cigars, but I haven't smoked in over 20 years and he never has.

Heck. I don't know either. So far, they're sitting in bags in a corner of the kitchen. Save them for my springtime garage sale, maybe? I'm not done collecting them yet though. I don't ebay or anything and don't have a huge social circle. Maybe donate. Yeah. That might be it.

When I was in the Army it seems that many Blacks and some Hispanics had issues with ingrown hair and razor bumps. It's a condition called Pseudofolliculitis barbae and I'm told it is caused by the curling of the hair back under the skin.

My easiest most lucrative shop years ago was to purchase a higher priced skin cream. The shops I could do had me purchase either 2,4,6, or 8 at a time. I did each of those. My only report was to take a photo of the placement of the product in the store. I think they were trying to find out if the store placed their product in a visible location and also put up the large signs with correct pricing also very visible.
The funny thing was that when I was at the store for my 4 items purchase another customer came along and put 6 in her basket and took a photo. I asked her if she was working for a company. She told me she had lots of sisters and cousins she was buying for. I think she was a mystery shopper crossing paths.

Oh, I should have added they didn't use razors, they used something called "Blue Magic". They'd make a paste and put in on their face, wait a few minutes and scrape it and the hair off with a plastic spatula.
It worked like Nair, it's a depilatorie.

Many years ago, I had a shop where I had to go to Macy's and buy several of a particular brand of men's tie. This was before PayPal and the company would actually overnight me a check to cover the expense, and then I would mail the ties back to them. This went on for some time, often at the same store. I did a couple of these. One was a high end shampoo and hair treatment product for thinning hair. Another one was shapewear that was being sold at a drugstore. I'm thinking it was something around product placement or could even be recall as it's cheaper to buy it up than it is to issue a recall.

Maybe I missed something, but I haven't seen the MSC or the client mentioned in the thread other than when I mentioned the product was similar to Nair.
If it was to gain insight on product placement the store failed the test on the 1 shop I did. One product was placed behind a tag a Nair product. The other product was on a different shelf, the very bottom one. Both were in a locked cabinet that required employee assistance. Not like the consumer was putting back in the wrong place. Maybe the client was wanting to find out if their product was being placed and stocked well to determine why the products were selling better or worse at stores within the national retail chain.
But then there is the mystery of of the purchase requirement. If it was just about placement the MSC could have taken a less expensive route by just having the shopper take photos. I never heard of the product before seeing the assignment posted. Certainly not a product you could regift w/o getting a raised eyebrow from family or friends ... LOL.

It's either regional, or already claimed in your area. You can try zipcodes for big cities around the country to help answer this question. For instance, if you put in 75001 (Dallas), you should see several available.
