The Intellishop shops are paused for now, according to the scheduler. I just had to pay for my first oil change in many years.
I did a Bestmark oil change because I had recently paid for my wife’s oil change. I had shock! $100 for hers at a quick place. Mine was also $100 at a dealer. Not worth paying that!

Market Force had some many months back for a tiny NYC chain that received horrible online reviews. Cars were damaged in some cases.

GFK? seriously?

Yes, and they are seriously on my 10 foot list.

Ipsos bought GFK 8 or 9 years ago. GFK doesn't exist anymore. I thought that the buyout was going to make it easier to get the AT&T audits, but that didn't happen. Lol

GBW, but I'm not sure you actually get your oil changed or not.

Yes, GBW. And they are so far down my 10 foot pole list that I confused them with a no longer existent firm.
I would never, ever, let someone else work on my vehicles. I've always done my own oil changes. FYI, Mobil 1 has an oil rebate that starts today. I also check and lubricate the disc brakes at least twice a year. I do all my repairs except for tire mounting (I would do that too if I had the machine). My truck is now 19 yrs old and has 294k miles.

Confero, although right now I'm having some trouble getting paid for one of them! I've done them for years, though, and never had a problem with pay, so I'm hoping this is just a quirk.
I have a few - West Union, SC and in NC: Locust, Monroe, Reidsboro, Roxville. $15 pay $50 reimbursement - on Sassie at www.ishopforipsos.com

I used to shop all the oil change shops I could, given that they had to have a 3,000 mile minium rotation. I learned the hard way that most of the quick oil change did not deserve my trust. A few of them even set up my car for future failure. Some tried to convince me my car needed things that it did not. One shop even told me my car needed a new serpentine belt even though I had just put a brand new Gates brand belt on it 3 days earlier. One company was known for free top-offs between oil change. A few days later after such an oil change, I stopped into a different location of that franchise for a top-off, and they told me that the drain plug had been left loose.

Performing an oil change in your driveway is not difficult on most cars. Unless I have a car that has the oil filter in a difficult-to-reach location, I now do my own oil changes and avoid writing a report. I have found dealership oil change shops to be trustworthy, but they have other priorities and generally take a long time to perform an oil change.
