Slowdown of shops

I have noticed in my area a significant slowdown of new shops. We still have some ones that are very regular, but I have seen a significantly less number of other shops showing up. Is this a seasonal thing (summertime) or something regional? Is anyone else seeing this trend in their area?

It has either slowed significantly in the southeast, or the shops are being gobbled up as soon as they are posted. Three c-store shops requiring photos that pay $5 each disappeared from the board over the last couple of days. I haven't performed any shops in almost 2 weeks because the ones listed are not worth the compensation offered, in my opinion. I wish the best to those of you that are shopping for a living, especially if the pickings are as slim as they are in my area.
I'm not far from Pat and we're scraping the bottom of the barrel here. Somebody in North Alabama seems to want to work for peanuts.
Middle of nowhere. Within 150 miles in any direction, there are enough shops to make small road trips and route some gigs. I am not working just now, but someone can pick up these assignments and make pretty good money within a few hours of where I live. Someone who can travel hours between tiny towns should be able to negotiate for good bonuses.

There is not much in NY/PA. I used to do much more, but mostly car dealer and restauranr shops. There are not much of either. ACL lost most of its shops and there are no car dealers. The ones I did see a while ago required males, I am female. I do some Market Force burger shops, not much else.
I have found that whenever the month starts off slow, it speeds up. Indeed, the first two weeks of June were very dry. Now, I am finishing my best month of shopping yet.

My experience has been more people shop in the summer for whatever reason, - better weather, school's out, etc - so it may appear slower. I have actually been very busy this month.
I know a lot of teachers and students who shop as their summer job, that may be drying things up in your area.
I have had by far my best month since December of last year. One of my major projects has a hard deadline at the end of june, the end of the first half of the year, and that has helped a lot. Also, I left home on June 3rd, and I will make my first visit back home at around midnight tomorrow night at the end of the month. I'm going to be working right up until the very last second of the month. I have only taken one day off since June 3rd. I'm taking the first two weeks of July off for a personal vacation. It's much needed at this point.
Where I live there seems to be several new shoppers. Low paying jobs are taken within minutes of being posted, they usually sit for a couple of weeks until they are bonused. There hasn't been many jobs posted this month that are worth starting the car for.
