Yes. The ones I see regularly are a regional chain and have a flat fee which might cover the required purchase items.
The only ones I see are for a small chain with a small fee and no reimbursement. From your fee they want you to pay for coffee and buy a pastry item. You will be left with a few bucks after the required purchases and get paid 21-55 days later.

With the one available to me, I could net $6. I haven't done it, but perhaps I should, especially if I am doing a route since I don't think there is that long of a line and my guess is it shouldn't take more than 8 minutes. I don't know how long the report is. I might ask them to send me the guidelines or the report to see if it is super time consuming.

Does anyone have insight into how long the report is for the coffee shops they've done.

I've never seen a large chain posted, but I need to register with more MSC.
If its the one attached to a bookstore, I've done it a handful of times and always regret it when I pull up the report. Its not a ton of writing, but they want a few sentences on a maybe half a dozen different things and I always think why am I doing this for average coffee, a stale bagel, and $5 that I won't get for 6 weeks. Its definitely a do-it-if-you're-right-there-and-need-to-kill-time shop, not a go-out-of-your-way shop.

It seem like a long time ago, they pay like $ 5 for the report or so plus the fee of the coffee and bagel.. But I could be wrong on that..

I just saw the email this evening and I believe it is now no pay for the report with $ 13 reimbursement.

It has been a while since I have done this shop.

I am always looking for coffee. Good coffee. I have seen a few, on Gigwalk. And sometimes one here or there with other MSC's, but very few of those. Also, a different type of coffee shop is offered by ISC. On that one, you go to an establishment that sells the machine and the particular coffee brand. The person you shop will make you a cup of that coffee. You do not pay for anything. You simply evaluate their selling skills and take a photograph of the machines they sell, the tasting area and the storefront. Also, any out-of-date promotional signage. The pay ranges from $15.00, and up. I wait until the last week of the month and take about four of them at a time. They have clusters of locations close to one another and sometimes 3-4 inside the same mall. I have taken the shops at $40.00, each. Drank 4 coffees or espressos or latte's or one with a shot in it, and went to write my reports at a "Mermaid" coffee shop.

Hi All
Are there any good mystery shop agencies that offer coffee mystery shops?

Not for those of us who think that coffee is the most icky and vile thing to either smell or taste. I'd rather have marinated road-killed skunk.
Agreed. I can't stand the taste of coffee (hot or cold). I do like the aroma of roasting coffee beans.

Full disclosure: I like coffee ice cream. Go figure.

I have had one where you're tasked with buying several bags of different Columbian coffees at various stores. However, I accepted the shop and after reading through the mountain of paperwork, saw conflicting instructions. Emailed the scheduler who did not respond, so I ended up cancelling. But that would have been an interesting one to complete.

Bob comments--I have only had a single cup of coffee; it was in 1957. My favorite flavor of ice cream, though, is coffee. Thank you for informing me I am not the only one.
That is interesting. My aunt who also does not like coffee, loves when I make it or buy it from a roaster because she loves the aroma. And she loves coffee ice cream, too. I wonder if you coffee haters like coffee candy, like those coffee nips that older ladies had in their purse when I was young. There is a big candy bar at Aldi, coffee and cream, that is really good and I think the coffee ice cream lovers would like.
And I am curious about what was going on, ShopperBob, in 1957, when you had that cup of coffee for the first and last time?

Is it nice to ask a person about the ickiest moment in their life?

You could ask me, but the choices are legion.

Back to the topic, is Gregory's Coffee shopped by any MSC? There's a Five Guys I shop frequently and there's a Gregory's in the same strip mall. Wouldn't mind walking 100 feet to pick up another shop.

Good choice! I did this years ago and quickly found out the coffee is just not popular in my area. So much back and forth with the MSC who did not believe that the required number of stores could not be found, researching coffee shops, visiting, etc. to meet the quota. All for naught, coffee is just not available here as it is most cities.

Eventually I got paid and reimbursed but the coffee-hunting took way too much time.
I think it is true with most folks that a specific memory might exist due to circumstances.

Catholic Charities had wanted me to be placed in an orphanage. Fortunately for me, an aunt agreed to take me in IF I were willing to keep the house clean, wash dishes & laundry and, when needed, baby sit; I did not hesitate to agree. During that summer, her boyfriend introduced me to both coffee and whiskey. As to my taste they were both terrible, once was more than enough.
I indeed also like "coffee candy, like those coffee nips that older ladies had in their purses when [purpleicee] was young."

Today is national coffee day. I've gotten 2 or 3 notifications from my gas station apps to go get a free coffee. Some gas station chains (Pilot comes to mind) have excellent coffee and its free today. No report necessary!
@shopperbob I was sorry to learn about the experience you had with coffee and whiskey, but also with the surrounding circumstances.

My first experience with whiskey was like that. As was my second.

Regarding National Coffee Day - It has always puzzled me how Starbucks never offers a free cup on this day.
I actually really like the coffee at the local bookstore, though the pastries are just OK. I did that one a couple months ago and I'm waiting for it to be posted this month but I have not seen anything yet. Has anyone else seen it on the job board? At 1st, it seemed like jobs were always available in my area, but I think another shopper or two moved in because they seem to fly off the board pretty quick now.
The ones near me only get posted every three months or so. Or maybe its just whenever they have new promos? In which case they probably won't have something until Christmas time.

I love coffee, I love strong coffee. I also like coffee candy and the smell of roasting coffee. I used to like coffee ice cream, but I made myself sick eating coffee ice cream after they took my tonsils out almost 20 years ago. So I don't eat coffee ice cream anymore.

That shopping and comparing coffee beans from various roasters oysters seems like a little slice of heaven, at least to me. I would jump at something like that. But I would probably find out that it's way too much work, or way too much typing and be disappointed.
I feel left out. In CA I have not seen any coffee shops.
Funny, it was Peet's shops that got me into mystery shopping decades ago. They never seemed to read the surveys because the same "problems" never got fixed. Oh well, I got a nice espresso drink out of it which I was going to have anyway.
