Mix up on dates for shipping shops?

Due to bad weather, I had to reschedule 2 shipping shops. I had to reschedule from Wednesday to later this week.

My only choice of dates was Thanksgiving, or Saturday. Rural post offices open one hour Saturday morning; nearly impossible to reach them both on Saturday. Friday is blackout date.

But the shipping office closed on Thanksgiving, open Friday.

I e-mailed the scheduler; of course, I didn't get back a timely answer, it's a freaking holiday. (Even with a holiday, to not answer a Tuesday e-mail until Friday is....well, if we did that, we'd be deactivated! )

So I did them today, the "black out day", and hope MSC realizes eventually that the Thanksgiving holiday blackout day SHOULD have been Thursday.

Your 2 cents worth? Did you notice this, too? Even the guidelines say Friday is a blackout day, but Thanksgiving day was a-ok.

Hope I get paid.....

Good luck. I hope they pay you for the shop. I did a non post office shop for the same company a few years ago. In my area most of the post offices are open 6 days a week so I am used to doing them whenever they are open. I do not usually do the non post office shops so, silly me, I assumed I could do it on Sunday because they were open Sundays. I did not get paid.
There is a glitch on the calendar system. I informed them, and they were aware of it and are working to fix it. Holidays were showing as available dates (not just Thanksgiving, but Veteran's Day and other holidays as well), but the days before or after holidays were not showing as available. I think they will accept the shop, since it is just a calendar system error with Shopmetrics.

I did notice that regarding Veteran's Day and thought it was strange that the day before was blocked, but not the actual date they were closed.

Yikes! I'm out a lot of money if that happens to my two shops!

I think someone used last years calendar to black out the holiday dates.. i was a little confused by it at veterans day too. I didn’t try to do any shipping shops this last week. But i had one that had to be done before Monday. Luckily the rural post office there is open for 3 hours on Saturday, so I had time..
I avoided Friday to ship items because I know how to the letter of the law the editors are here.

I’ve been shipping for years, and never had a shop labeled “hold pay”. In the last two months? Four shipping shops held due to various reasons which they did not care to “accept” my reason; one being that the clerk scanned in another customers prepaid mail during my transaction, stating “it’s prepaid, it doesn’t matter, I gotta scan it in”. I noted this and the shop was still rejected.

I’m playing within their rules because I use the shops to pay for my eBay sales shipping costs.
I have had a couple occasions where the receipt said "hold mail pickup" and the editor asked about it. I explained that I had no idea why it said that, but it must have been from the previous customer picking up held mail. They accepted it. I would have escalated your rejection to a supervisor, but of course getting any response from them is iffy.

I did one not very many months ago that's whoever was there before me was asking about a passport and it ended up on my reciept. They asked if I had enquired about a passport, and I said of course not. I can't afford to go 80 miles to visit my grandson, why would I get a passport. It got approved and paid. But I check my receipts more carefully now.
