GPS tracking device job

I saw these recycling jobs that involve a GPS tracker pop up. If memory serves, they paid more back in the summer. Now these are paying $20 and you have to send them a $50 deposit for the GPS tracker which is reimbursed once you complete the report.

Looks like a low reward high cost assignment to me. All you have to do is throw a GPS tracker in the recycling bin at the assigned location. That part seems simple, but it seems like they should reimburse quicker and the cost/deposit of the tracker seems high.

Has anyone done these?

I've done a few of these. Yes, they are pretty simple. Charge the device, take some pictures of the location and bin, and dump it in. They take very little time at all. I have never had a problem getting my deposit money back, but I've never gotten it immediately upon submitting the shop.
