I have never seen a Sonic with a dine-in. They must be in a different part of the country. All of the ones in my area have stalls and a drive-thru, and often the stalls are closed. I think the stalls are closed due to a lack of staff.

If you have a drive in stall shop for Sonic but the location also has a dine in, do you go inside to check restroom?

There are doors on the outside of the building that are restrooms. Lately, they have been locked or not available for the public and you can choose N/A on the report. Dine-in does not mean going inside. Inside is just for the employees. Dine-in refers to the locations that have a patio area in the center, just in front of the building and between the drive-through lane and one row of stalls. Sometimes that Dine-in area has a menu board with a red button to push so you can order there and they bring your order to one of the few tables you may be sitting at in that small area.

There are location with actual dining rooms that you can eat in.
The one I did last week with the new MSC required a bathroom check. Unless the location doesn't have one. The location I did does indeed have one, and there was a question on the report about it. The "pandemic exception" is over, I think.@mjt9598 wrote:
They have not been requiring the restroom visit since the pandemic started three years ago.

Newbe question: What is the secret to getting any of the restaurant/fast food Shops? Are they released the same time of a particular day every month? I check daily, but the close ones are already taken.

We have a Sonic here that has a patio area.. I have never thought that the patio area was consider dine in... I thought dine in will be like you go inside and order at the counter and sit down at one of the tables. (Like you do at McDonalds / BK)
You learn something new every day

Lots of comments on here about the types of restaurants Sonic has. Why not just check the bathroom if you see one?
If the report is asking about it...you need to check it. If the report is NOT asking, then don't worry about it.
Seems pretty simple to me.
