Car wash

Has any one done the car wash shop from Bare where you have to audio record your experience during the car wash? Just wondering what kinds of things we are supposed to be saying? And how do we record? Thanks

I do car washes under a different company, but the conversation still has to be recorded. I use Voice Memos, it is free and easy to use. For the shops I do, I’m supposed to let them do their spiel on the unlimited memberships and see what they do when I decline to sign up. I actually really enjoy these shops. They are pretty straightforward and my car is always clean lol.
For the most part, the pay is too low for me to bother. I have unlimited car wash plan already with another chain. So to do this shop, I need more pay since the wash itself is not that much of a benefit to me.

You would just use your phone to record the entire interaction. I have 2 phones, so I would probably record on both just in case one didn't work. I'm sure plenty of people just use one device, but since I have 2..i might as well use both.

I would put on airplane mode so that incoming texts and phone calls would not interfere with recording.
I do them all the time, and have to get on another report as soon as I finish this post, my 4th so far this month. :-D

It's a big YMMV thing.

I think the amount of work for the gross return is ok for the ones I do. I pay with my Venmo VISA card which pays 3% cash back on your most used category each month, and I keep all other categories under the car wash totals for the month to max the return.

Why I do as many as possible each month is I also drive rideshare, and I like having a clean car for my riders.

I do the green/yellow car washes. Should that program ever go away I would become a monthly membership customer with them. They are all over the place in my area, and I'm kinda hooked on my car always looking nice.

TBH the car wash isn't as good as other washes. The recording dialogue is usually just me describing things I need for the report - TIME - Name - Description - Cleanliness issues - Vacuum function. IDK what they want, but I have never had a problem. I do them for $25 each and have sometimes gotten the cheaper wash and sometimes the fully reimbursed expensive wash. I have never been rejected but they almost always have one follow up question. Really easy. 8 minute recording for $25 with some short stuff on the form. But they really don't clean your car as well as other car washes.
I do the Duck shops when they are adequately bonused. If my car is dirty, a $5 or $10 bonus is usually adequate. This week, I will be doing two shops with the same car on the same day -- just to be kind to the scheduler. I will probably drive on a dirt lot to get my car dirty after the first wash.

I use my phone as well as one to two additional recorders to record these shops. I will continue to do so because I have experienced technical issues during some shops. If I did not have backup recordings, I would not have been paid.

I keep the questions on the report in mind as I speak. I try to describe what I see in such a way that, combined with the recording, will give the editor a good mental picture of what I am experiencing. Do not mention the race of an employee.

You don't know what mystery shopping companies my son is doing the car wash shops for. But I know he's doing them for about $40 each. And then complaining that it's too much work and he should wait for more money, but he doesn't. I liked it my Jeep is cleaner than normal, I just wish it ran as good as it looks..

If we're talking green/yellow, the reason I'd stick with them is the sheer number of locations in my area (and they continue to expand). If I'm washing my car daily, the fact that each wash doesn't leave me totally killer clean is ok by me.
