Offer on Five Guys really low

Got an offer from Samantha for a Five Guys- the shop was listed at $10 now the big offer is $12. Offers used to be $15 and up- wondering if they are cutting back on the fees? Not taking the shop- do not love the food and not worth the hassle for $12.

I enjoy the food, but my minimum is $20 since I order the big sandwich and go over the $17 reimburse by about $3.
I think the Samantha offers are always just a couple of bucks over what it's currently showing on the website. You'll probably get a new offer if nobody picks it up and the fee increases on their website.
I checked the website offer and looked at the Samantha offer- they are the same- gonna pass I think! My blood pressure and cholesterol levels will thank me for doing so.
I was just thinking this today. All of the sudden, the fees are staying low. Have not seen much go over 20 and I have not taken many. Have one for tomorrow at $20 (because I need to eat) but that was the highest it has gone. I made an offer for another location and it was denied.
I start my MAO at a much higher amount since I have to reduce by $3 each time.

$50, then $47, then $44, then $41. Got it accepted it $41.

Guess they either decided I was persistent or that NO one else was even bidding and they needed the shop done. I did not do this today, but it was in May.
I want to say its been about 2ish months now that Ive seen the start rate at $10 now. Maybe a little longer. I know quite a bit use to sit for a while nearing completion end date and thats when fees would rise over 30+ quickly. Sadly I think, whether it was due to cutting costs or just testing lower fees to try to lower ending fee should it sit long, that they have noticed its still working. Now shops barely sit long and are getting scooped up quick at the low fee. In part i know some of it has to do with the savings, coupon groups in the last 2 years advertising MS as ways to eat for free. So for a good majority they arent doing MS as work but rather as getting things for free or reduced. They dont care about fee rates, if they make a few extra bucks, cool. If not, they save money.

Are you sure those aren't for next week's shops? Although personally, I've never gotten a Samantha offer for less than $16, and that's for one a few miles from my house. Also, this wasn't for a delivery shop, was it? I've never seen Samantha offers for those, but they typically don't go above $10-15.

I had a $30 offer accepted on Thursday for a shop this weekend. I used to always get $25-30 for that location and shops would be hard to fill, but haven't done it since January because others are taking the shops before it gets to the amount I want to make it worthwhile (plus once you take it for a lower price, they hold that against you when you ask for more on future shops). They must have found some new shoppers willing to do it for less.

I have not seen make an offer for months. I no longer get Samantha emails. This is in the NY/PA market. The shops now get "hot shop" flames and will go up to $15. I used to get $25 and sometimes $35. It looks like they are trying (successfully) to lower their fees.

They have low balled on Samantha and the phone for almost a month. I also will not take these for less than $25 as $35 was what I have been receiving. CA Central Coast area.
It's been months since I have done a 5 guys. I can't get the fees i used to get regularly so I don't do them now. I do, however, steal my son's fries when he does them, but even that has been several months ago now. They rarely make it over $15 around here anymore, and I'm still not going to sign that contract.

The 5 Guys in my area(south of Boston/RI) had been starting at $15 for the fee, and not getting taken - so they'd typically end up going for $20-$25. Once I even got one for $40! Within the last week or so, I saw they were starting them at $12. I was surprised since they weren't even getting taken for $15.

I'm not MSStar but I think what they're sayingis a lot of the coupon groups and neighborhood Facebook groups are recruiting shoppers by saying that you can save money on eating out by signing up to be a mystery shopper.
I got a call yesterday at 6:15 desperately asking me to do a location I've done in the past for $30 at that amount.

The catch was, the shop was a 4:15 to 9:15 dinner shop FOR YESTERDY!.

I told them I couldn't do it, but could do it for the same $30 today. She said it had to be done yesterday (last day of the month).

If they had called me earlier in the day I probably would have asked for $40 and done the shop since they were desperate.

Today I get a Samantha offer for $20 for the same shop. Strange. Looked at the shop online and it was at MAO so I put in $36 for tomorrow. Let's see if I get it.
I just made the same offer for a shop online that I usually get approved once a month. It was declined this time online. If / when I get a phone call, I'll make the same offer. It usually gets accepted every month. Once you accept a reduced offer for a location, it's almost impossible to move back up to a previous higher offer. That's the algorithm. We'll see...

In the last 2-3 years mainly, there have been groups on media platforms that are about deals. Such as items that are able to be bought at that moment for less using coupons, or simply because of a sale or promotion going on. They are groups that send out memos around the clock when something is noticed. In this case many have referred individuals to join certain MS that are mainly food/retail centered, not for the purpose of work but to get a better deal while dining out. In this case for some individuals they are looking to save money. If they can eat at a place where some or all of their meal is reimbursed its a win. They dont really care much about the work it takes to get reduced/free. To them its about saving money as they do not do this as a job.
Websites like pennhoarder.com and other similar sites that bill themselves as ways to "save more money" or "Make extra money" are listing mystery shopping as a great way to accomplish both. This is recruiting shoppers who are happy to work for a "free" $17 Five Guys meal. Thats what they mean by this comment. See below for an example:

Someone just took a Five Guys shop for a much lower than usual offer price. Shame on them! The location in question does not have great food. Other offers have been up to $25- some hard up Harry took it for $16. Hope they get a belly ache on the greasy overcooked fries! LOL
The offers are less, and Samantha is making offers earlier in the shopping week. I generally wait until it reaches $19, usually only accept if in the $20 dollar range. But gas station audits went faster, maybe due to the weather.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

Samantha is making offers the same as board.

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
Samantha is the name on the e-mails sent out other than the daily available shops e-mail. They are supposed to entice us with more profitable payments. Sometimes yes, sometimes not.
I picked one up from the board for $30, and it was days before the due date. I usually see the high fees when they need it done in a day, or I have to ask for that fee.
LAST MINUTE SHOPS!!! GRAB THEM BEFORE THEY ARE GONE. This is from the robo-emailer, Samantha.
If these are such great shops why do they keep extending the due dates and raising the fee $3 each time? They are now offering more than I asked for this shop!
