Raising Cane's Gripe

I respectfully requested the company to increase the reimbursement for the burger guys since it wasn't anywhere close to the cost in my area. And they did.

Shopping domestic and international locations since 2003.

No judgement here. Just appreciation. We might be able to check menus and prices online before accepting a gig. We definitely can find out from other posters when fees and reimbursements make sense or not. We might be 'encouraged' to be thinner via employer and insurance programs although some might say we are punished for being heavier.

The nearest Raising Kane's is about ninety minuted from here....

How did this turn into a conversation about obesity and healthcare?
I remember when some of these fast food places dropped their prices so low, I told people you're better off using a 2 for 1 coupon they send in the mail. You get the meal cheaper and you don't have to file a report.

The usual thread derailer.
I'm about to submit a RC shop that I did about an hour ago. I typically get the Caniac so I can share with my kids. They finally fixed it, but for a while I had to answer an extra question asking why my meal was so expensive -- I got rather colorful a few times explaining inflation.

It is a simple shop, but I agree in principle that I should be able to order the required item and not be out of pocket. Weird for a while, I was able to hold out and get a $5 -$10 pay -- now I'm lucky if I can get $3.

Just say the Reimbursement fee is up to $ 9.50 and you spend $ 12.00 on a Caniac combo why should the MSC care how much you spend? I know that's 2.50 extra out of your pocket?

I know that depending on where you live, prices will be different.

I am not sure how much they reimburse , I have not done one in so long.. But I know the start out fee is $ 0 and they raise the fee every so often..

We have one Sonic , where I live, where a Bacon Double Cheese Burger meal is $ 11.39 before tax.. We have another Sonic , where I live, where a Bacon Double Cheese Burger meal is $ 11.19 before tax
I think they were making sure I ordered an eligible item. They just didn't adjust the question with inflation, just like they didn't adjust the reimbursement
I remember seeing this same question with their too many men burger chain. I haven't seen that question for awhile now. I think it was pointless when they know what you are ordering is going to be more $.
Sonics are mostly franchises- and they can set their prices differently. I have many Sonics that I shop and they have different policies on charging for water, flavor add-ins, etc. Sometimes it varies with the manager on duty. I don't sweat over it.
Here's my take on Cane's shops. First I will do reimbursement only if it's the one really close to my house or one right by work. Then I hold out for ones with shop fees at other locations near places I may be visiting anyway (other shops, running errands, etc). I have also found the 3 finger combo to be enough food most of the time, especially if I'm doing another shop that day. Even if you're paying $1 or so over the reimbursement, it's still a pretty good deal. I've also noticed that if you dine in and they serve you the 3 finger combo on a plate, they seem to be pretty generous with the fries. But when it's in the styrofoam box, they can be pretty skimpy!
