How Much Access/Manipulation Do Outside Schedulers Have To Our SASSIE Profile Accounts?

The title speaks for itself. I have an issue whereas all of my MS SASSIE accounts have been altered to opt out of receiving e-mail offerings of assignments. I have spent all day restoring many of these, with several offers of assignments now coming in.

I cannot offer any details, but how much access do outside scheduling companies have in their partnership with SASSIE MS Companies regarding the access & re-setting of my profile, if any? Obviously, there was a dispute.

I contacted one of the MS Companies: No glitches within the SASSIE System. I was hoping for that. Still am. Want your feedback.

I do not know the answer to your question - but I have heard of this exact "issue" before - after a dispute with an outside scheduling company, all of their Sassie profiles were reset to opt out of email notification.

Can you tell us which scheduling company you speak of?
I just had this problem with an MSC. I had a dispute with a reviewer, and tried to reach someone there by phone trying to send them my emails, etc. to prove I had done nothing wrong. I was just told " they aren't going to use you anymore.' I called 4 times and left messages, and sent 3 emails. No replies, no return calls, and emails deactivated. Apparently they don't value their shoppers, at least the ones that do good work- it's easier to deactivate w/no explanation and trust the word of a reviewer who is abusive, than look at the proof provided by an honest shopper. I guess I better check my other Sassie profiles!

Same thing happened to me. The shop required me to go to a store and approach someone if they didn't help me within 5 minutes. I had to interact with them for at least 20 minutes. This was a high-end shop. I showed up but he was helping another customer. I waited THIRTY MINUTES without being helped. The employee never even smiled at me.

I contacted the scheduler and told her that I left after 30 minutes because he was not helping me and many of the employees in the back kept looking at me. I know that look..the "you look like you can't afford to be here look." Funny thing is, I was dressed not much different than the housewife doing her shopping there. I explained to the scheduler that I felt too uncomfortable to wait anymore. i asked her to please let me know how to proceed.

Well, she CANCELLED my shop and I was deactivated. I attempted to e-mail her multiple times and she never replied to me. I then reached out to the actual MSC and said that they'd valued my work up to that point, but that walking out of a job without making contact was unacceptable and that they'd missed their deadline since I shopped on the day before the deadline. My deadline was around the 14th and I went in on the 13th.
There is a well known glitch in the Sassie system. It results in the emails being turned off in all sites if it turned off in one site. No one has assigned a conspiracy theory to this though. It is just a well known glitch. This is why several sites have alist of the Sassie companies to use as a guide when you have to go into each one and switch the emails to "on."

Here's how to get around it. Go to the JobSlinger site. Once there, click on "home", and then "email manager". Click "protect", and the problem will be solved.

Sorry. Not until I can prove it. If/when I do, you will be the first to know.

Thank you so. That will be my first step. Good information for everyone!
Kathy, I PMed you before I posted here. If your problem is what I think it is, it's a Sassie issue, not a specific company, and the steps I outlined above will fix it.
After reading this thread, I remembered that a couple of Sassie companies that I used to receive email notices from had not notified me of new jobs and I lost out several times on shops due to that. I NEVER changed my settings for email but checked out one of these and sure enough, my email notification had been set to "off". I think this bears further research. Any comments welcome.

It is the well known glitch mentioned above. Schedulers are not messing with this. It has to do with mail/spam control systems and automatically happens. Sassie has been working on this several years. There is a long thread about this on Volition by the admin of Sassie. He doesn't like it any more than any of us.

I would like to add that Sassie and the MSCs would NOT want the schedulers to have direct access to shopper profiles (although I expect that a scheduler can ask for a "dump" of folks who are, say, over 55, or tall.). Schedulers change companies all the time and the MSCs really don't want their shopper lists pirated, or, worse yet, sabotaged by a disgruntled soon-to-be ex-scheduler.

When I scheduled I could definitely see the direct profiles of shoppers. Things may have changed. Independent schedulers all sign contracts regarding sabatoging or cultivating the lists for their own use.. or at least that was the protocol when I scheduled.

Fire them back, don't use them anymore.

The crappy thing is- I love their schedulers, most of their shop listings, and would love to work for them again. I'm sure if the owner botheres to answer the phone or call me back and saw all my proof, he'd realize that I did nothing wrong and let me work for them again.
