Good Afternoon Everyone!

We are currently seeking new mystery shoppers to file your taxes and evaluate the preparer’s knowledge and compliance of the tax preparation process. You will make an appointment with an assigned tax preparer (name disclosed upon assignment). You will be fully reimbursed for any fees (up to $350) they charge you to file with them, and on top of that, we will also pay you $85 to answer the questions afterward in the GoSpotCheck app. Getting it done by a professional might also help you to get a little extra on your tax return that you might otherwise have missed just doing a free version.

There are only a few basic requirements for the shop:
• Have a newer iPhone (iOS 12 or later) or an Android phone (version 7 or later) with the capability to use the GoSpotCheck App.
• You must be filing a personal tax return (can include dependents/family)
• Forms needed are – 1040/1040EZ/1040A OR 1099 INT/DIV/B/G/R if applicable.
o Business or 1099-NEC/Stock Sales/Rental property income taxes are NOT permitted
o If you owe money back or won’t receive a refund you are still eligible to complete this shop.
• You have all your forms and are ready to file.
• Choose a DATE that you would ideally like to complete the shop.

We’re able to reimburse the filing fee up to $350 (most fees for normal filings are between $100 and $200 on average). This will need to be paid upfront, so please be prepared for that before you go. They do have options that allow you to deduct the fee from your return though, so if you don’t have the money on hand upfront you can choose that option and we’ll reimburse you with whatever is deducted after you submit!

Please only apply for this shop if you are ready to have your taxes prepared and are certain you can complete it in the time frame allowed. This is a time-sensitive program and re-scheduling is limited.
