I'm still learning 24/7.
It depends on whether you are using standard mileage or actual cost. If actual cost, there will be depreciation allowed annually as well as other expenses for the percentage of use attributable to your business. Check Publication 463 at IRS.gov, Section 4 for the rules and requirements, whether you lease the vehicle or not, take standard mileage or actual expense.
I've been on a public transit binge where I drive as little as possible. I have even had success negotiating skipping the parking interactions for some shops....

Much more relaxing and I have caught up on a lot of movies since I stopped driving so much and spend my gas $$ on an iPad.
its dropped fourty cents off its high which is nice... i dont really pay attension... i drive probably less than fifty miles a week on average...

im still rocking the ten cents off for the gas cards and three percent cash back!! whoot whoot!!

At least here the cost of gas has finally dropped from $4.06 to $3.79 a gallon. There was cheering in the streets after that.

Within the past couple of months the price of a barrel of oil has been as high as $110 per barrel. Currently it is hovering in the $83-$86 area, so by golly the pump price BETTER be going down! Our lowest here yesterday that I spotted was $3.25 for regular. The worst was around $3.86. There is hardly the 25% drop at the pump that the underlying oil price has taken!
I wish I knew what was going on here. Yesterday, I could have gotten gas for $3.45 a gallon. Today, gas is any where from $3.65-$3.79 a gallon. They seem to change prices like this a lot. You never know from one day to the next.

Finally we see the difference, 3.99...well under the 4.59 we'd been paying.

Live consciously....
Regular ranges from 3.30 to 3.50 here, all within 10 mikes of home.

In April 2011 I traded a car that got 18/24 mpg for one that gets 32/39, and have been much happier for it. Most of my mileage has been at the 37-39 mpg end of the scale, since I do long road trips. With car write-offs at 55.5 cents per mile, I am sheltering a heck of a lot on MS income with this car.
