Paid antiviral= junk!

just read consumer reports

both the free versions of Avast and AVG tested equal or higher (usually higher) when compared with the paid versions of just about every antivirus software i have heard of...in every catagory... including the companies own.. lol

crazy... i have been running the free version of AVG and no problems for 3 years...

wish i had known this in college... coulda saved some dough... no use crying over spilled computer software license's ...

Agreed. I have used AVG for years. Plus, It does not slow down your system like many paid av softwares...grinning smiley

When the techs built my computer they installed Malwarebytes which is a totally free program. I like it.

dude: Reallyglad that you posted re consumer reports. I downloaded Avast about 6 weeks ago. I guess they make their$ on the upgrades.
