camera phone

What is the easiest way to email pics from camera phone? Why can I not find an underscore symbol on my keyboard?
Thanks.

Underscore is the uppercase hyphen (dash). Hit shift and dash. I will pass on the other answer. Hope that helps.
that widely depends on the phone. Smartphone better off downloading the box cloud app and just saving them to there, and they instantly show up on your computer. It's much more secure then dropbox...

I like to email them immediately after a shop. That way I know they are there when I get home. I also have sent them through bluetooth. Or, at the worst, you can remove your memory card and upload them directly to your computer that way.
When I email them, I can also stick them them into a separate files on my computer, or different email accounts.
It's really just a matter of preference.

most camera phones now have a mini usb that can link to a computer and act as a flash drive and you can find them there

Sorry for my answer. I was looking at my laptop and answered the question. I am glad I wasn't reporting a shop. I fear that it would have been rejected.
Thank you, but still confused. This is not an internet connected phone. How exactly step by step can I email pics directly from my phone?
most cameras come with a mini usb to usb cord

they are "plug and play"

connect to the camera with the mini usb head and put the other end of the cord (normal usb) into the usb slot on you computer... it recognises it in a few seconds and automatically uploads the needed software ... often you will have to click an ok button for it to do this and then click finish

after the software is installed another window will pop up asking how you want to view your picks and you can pick whatever option you want... i use the one that says "view pictures in windows photo viewer" or something like that

after that you can click and drag the photos you want off the pop up window and on to you desktop and they will copy to your desk top... your desktop is whatever part of your computer that is not covered by the window, where you access your programs from the start

if you have a specific camera you can type the camera name into www.ehow.com or www.youtube.com and there will usually be a video to help you out

Do you need information on how to email photos to yourself? If that's the case, how can you email photos if the phone doesn't have internet? Now I'm confused with your question. You would have to use a usb cord, or directly remove the card and insert it into your computer. What kind of phone do you have, perhaps that would help the conversation?

Thanks. OK Let me start over. What I am actually trying to do is upload photos from my phone to reports. Not a smartphone, but on the other hand not all that dumb. Has qwerty keyboard and pic quality seems ok.
yes you need a usb cord to do that its a cord that connects your phone to your computer... it probably came with your phone or you can buy one at walmart

smart phone or not you still need a usb cord

Dude:
Ok then when phone connected to computer the pics will automatically appear on screen? No additonal software needed?
Normally when I connect something to my PC it will automatically install the software. The pics will no automatically appear, but you should be able to go to Windows Explorer and open the device from there.

Sorry to be so thick headed. I have been using an inexpensive camera which does fine for me. .OK when you say goto WE and open the device what am I looking for there?
Do this step by step. Have you connected the phone and did you see the installation? When it is connected you might not even have to use WE. When I connect some devices a small window will open and ask what I want to do. Otherwise look in WE for the device. It might come up with a name or it may just show as a new drive.

Sorry if that isn't clear, but I'm not all that techie. Usually by trial and error I can figure it outconfused smiley

scenario A
1. turn computer on and wait for the screen with all your programs
2. plug in camera
3. wait for a screen to pop up, usually less than 10 seconds
4. in the pop up screen click on "view files" usually the last option, scroll down on the right if necessary
5. you will be able to access the photos and you can click and drag the ones off the window and it will save them to your computer

scenario B (if nothing pops up)
same as steps 1-3
4. click on the start folder (windows icon in the bottom left corner)
5. click on computer
6. scroll down on the left under "c drive" or "disk drive" and click on "removable disk"
7. look for "dcim" "photos" "pictures" or something that looks like it
8. click and drag photos you want off the pop up
