Actually, that's what I do if I want to sync it with my computer or iTunes, which I don't, I plug in the USB cord to the device then to my computer. iTunes pops up and I drag and Drop. I don't involve a third program
My point was you are not locked into a Mac or Apple computer, or did I miss something in your original post?
