TO ALL SCHEDULERS. . . . .

I'm sure that got everybody's attention!

This is just a friendly reminder that this is a Mystery Shop Forum.
Here is the definition of forum:

• A public meeting place for open discussion.

• A medium of open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper or a radio or television program and now the internet.

• A public meeting or presentation involving a discussion usually among experts and often including audience participation.

This IS NOT, and I repeat, IS NOT (I think many shoppers will agree) a place that we, as shoppers, have to be stifled or chastised for what we have experienced. Please take notice of the forum topics!! They are geared mostly to shoppers and only 1 topic is for MS jobs and not schedulers! We do not come here to look for a job board!

Understandably, you may feel the need to voice your opinions on certain posts but certainly to banter back and forth on the forum is not what the majority of us are here for. I, for one, would appreciate that the infiltration cease and direct your concerns via private messages. The blatant display on one thread will only lead shoppers not to want to give you the benefit of the doubt. I will always listen to both sides BUT public display via a stand off does not fair well for either side.

You certainly got my attention!LOL

Infiltrate? Unfortunately, your choice of words is going to insult and alienate many people.

I agree that the discussion on that particular thread could have been handled through the private avenues available to both the shopper and the company. But, when a shopper openly attacks an MSP and their integrity, they (the msp) are entitled to respond.

My perspective as a shopper/editor/scheduler is this: While most editors and schedulers started out as shoppers and thoroughly understand that end of MSing, it's a shame that all shoppers are not required to assist in scheduling and/or editing a few shops before being allowed to perform any shops. It would an eye opening experience for the shopper, to say the least.

Don't get me wrong...Shoppers make mistakes and MSPs make mistakes, but the bottom line is we both need each other and both arms of the business need to do their part to communicate honestly, effectively and openly...be it privately or on an open forum.

Well, Joan you are an exception.

Frankly, I don't give a hoot who is insulted. The ones that would be insulted are the ones that should be. I apologize to you if insult was taken but not for the people that put on that sad display. Both parties should have kept it more respectable!

Nuf said!
I have noticed lately that the tone of some discussions have become rude and finger pointing with the writers first post. I did not see that before. A new post was started with a statement made and those who wanted joined in with their point of view If the rules of the forum were overstepped they were gently reminded what the rule was.

I do not have the fortitude or personality to be a scheduler. I could schedule over 600 students, without the aid of a computer, to a class schedule for a school year. I have told MS schedulers I do not see how they do their job.

Everyone needs to remember that we all have a job to do to the best of our ability. We also need a place to discuss our success, frustration and share silly things that happend on the job. If anyone what to listen in or join in they are welcome. If they do not like what they see there is the PM button they may use at any time.

As Mert said the high road is the best road.
Somehow the high road has to have more than one traveller. I send a PM suggesting that the conversation be taken OFF of open forum and answered the complaints there about the forum and the role of 'experienced shoppers' here with what I THOUGHT were some positive suggestions. I directed him to the New Mystery Shopper area to see what we were contributing to the organization and training of new shoppers to behave in a businesslike manner. Several days have now elapsed with no response but continued bull in open forum.
Thread has been totally removed. Why don't we ask JJ to set up some posting rules in addition to the original ones?
