What's your favorite Easter treat?

What is the treat that you look forward to finding in the Easter Basket, even if you fill yourself? Solid chocolate bunnies? Spicy jelly beans? Year old Peeps? ( I have a friend that considers these a delicacy) I'm looking forward to Maple whip cream eggs. Do not reach for the Maple flavored egg, you will get a fork in your hand. What little something makes you salivate like one of Pavlov's dogs?

I like the basic Cadbury Creme Eggs. I know they're weird and there's something kind of gross about them, but I get one every year (sometimes the day after Easter on clearance).
Peeps are an abomination, so I guess year old ones probably aren't much worse. winking smiley

I try to buy my treats after Easter if I can. If they are 50% off, then they only have half the calories, right? That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

....and if you can get them at 75% off, they have almost NO calories!
That's probably why Cindy's friend eats year old Peeps. They must be in the negative calorie range after a year. tongue sticking out smiley

I love those Cadbury creme eggs. They are so sweet they make my teeth hurt so I only eat half of one. I really dig those Cadbury Robin Eggs. The candy coated chocolate ones.

^ This those creme filled eggs are my fave!

Shopping Santa Barbara and Goleta, CA.
Only Black and only Red jelly beanssmiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smiley not JellyBelly either, There is something nasty about the taste of JellyBelly jelly beans.
The Cadbury mini eggs, the ones with the chocolate and hard shell, have always been my favorite. However, a few years ago I discovered the Jolly Rancher Jelly beans, and those are also great. I too, will wait until the day after Easter and get a few bags of each. If you like Jolly Ranchers and haven't tried the jelly beans, please try them this year.
I've never met a candy I didn't like, and the years when I give it up for Lent I'll scarf down anything and everything :-) However, when I'm discerning I like good solid dark chocolate.

I too love Cadbury creme eggs...yum.

I like the Starburst jelly beans and the Reeses peanut butter eggs. Oh, and the Whoppers malted milk balls that look like robin eggs. I can't stand those Cadbury eggs, they're too sugary for me.
So no votes for the Poop Peeps yet?

Oh my, I have to send the link to my stale peeps friend. As far as I am concerned, those look every bit as good as I think they taste. Truth in advertising there.
Dove dark chocolate eggs and Jelly Belly jelly beans. Except for vanilla, which is my least favorite.

I love the strawburst jelly beans along with jolly rancher. I have to portion them out because I could easily kill a bag in a short time.
I have looked all over for Brach's Pastel Malted Milk Chocolate Eggs. Can't find them in Houston.
OMG, my day is ruined. Like a dummy, I looked at the news this morning on the internet. Hershey's presented data on "the worst Easter candy."

WORST: SOLID MILK CHOCOLATE BUNNY
¼ of a Russell Stover solid milk chocolate bunny (my favorite!!!!!) is 220 calories, 12g of total fat and 25mg of sodium (Calorie Count). Stay far away from milk chocolate. Most brands contain trans fats and hydrogenated fats, both which have been linked to serious health illnesses such as obesity, heart disease, and diabetes.

WORST: CADBURY CRÈME EGG
1 Cadbury Crème Egg has 150 calories and 6 grams of fat. They have high-fructose corn syrup and according to Shape, one Cadbury Crème Egg is “equivalent to what the American Heart Association considers an entire day’s worth of sugar (20g or 5 teaspoons of sugar).”
Life is short, you just have to take the good with the bad. E coli from the sprouts on my salad, botulism from the tuna, who knows what from the gas station food you catch on the road.
Speaking of things that are bad for you, have you had chocolate covered bacon? Mmmmm chocolate and bacon. I'm getting chest pains just thinking about it.
Just make sure that is dark chocolate on your bacon and have a glass red wine to wash it down. Everything in balance you knowwinking smiley

Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs. The peanut butter is creamier than the kind used for the regular cups. The holiday shapes (eggs, trees at Christmas, pumpkins at Halloween) get the special filling.
I love the Brach's marshmallow eggs, the ones with the semi-hard marshmallow inside and the exterior is a hard shell, in multiple colors. They are so rare now, I ordered some from ebay!

Also, does anyone remember this: When I was a kid they had those big chocolate eggs with fruit and nougat filled inside. They are so rare, I have not found anybody that sells them.

I also recently tried the chocolate covered peeps and they are the Bomb! Yummmmmy! smiling smiley
My son loves Peeps and without reading the package I bought lemon ones that have the bottoms dipped in lemon white chocolate. I think they're called Lemon Delights. OMG...they are wonderful! I found them at Target, which is not near me. I tried Walgreens, CVS and Krogers which are closer to me and none of them have them sad smiley
The chocolate ones Yellow dipped in chocolate, I wolfed those down! Of course, now I have to wait until next year to eat them again...smiling smiley
SunnyDays2, I was at Target tonight and they had literally 3 shelves of those yellow Peeps dipped in chocolate at 50% off. Have you tried your Target?

Walgreens has their Easter stuff at 70% off and I loaded up on Godiva and Lindt.
