Right now the predictions for the freeze and maybe a hard freeze are south of San Antonio.
Take the time to prepare your home today, so you might be able to avoid unnecessary bills.
I live in the country and I do own a huge water tank as a back up for my well water.
My precautions are as follows:
Turn off the sub-pump if you have a water tank.
Slow drip every faucet.
Wrap pipes if you can find the insulation and have the time.
My well house also has heat lamps, but not sure if they really help. The pump house has insulated walls, but the roof isn't.
Do not close your garage door if cold weather can freeze the electric lines that head into your home.
If I'm being stupid by posting this information, let the comments fly. I have a huge day tomorrow that cannot be rescheduled under any circumstances. I've tried to be as proactive as I can with the pipes at my house.
Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning; the devil shudders...And yells OH #%*+! SHE'S AWAKE!
