My Mom wants to try editing...

My Mom wants to try editing. Where do I point Her? She has no mystery shopping involvement other than being my plus one. Does she need mystery shopping experience?

Yes. She needs experience. Tell her to try some phone shops at least. No MSC is going to hire someone without experience.

Amusement Advantage and ACL were looking for editors recently. They post the announcement on their websites. Your mother doesn't need to have MS experience to be an editor; you just need to prove you have command of the English language. I believe both companies will ask for a writing sample. Tell mom, nothing ventured, nothing gained!

I was an editor for ACL. I still shop for them. I quit because I did not want to be chained to my desk and commit to the hours they wanted. It might be a good fit for your mom to be an editor, but ACL only hires experienced mystery shoppers to be editors. I don't know anything about Amusement Advantage's requirements.

Just tell her to do a few shops for some minimal experience and then apply. Once they see the quality of her reports, I am sure they will hire her.
