MSPA Gold Certification

My apologies if this topic has been covered elsewhere, however, I am having a difficult time finding any answer. I just purchased the $75 gold certification course from the MSPA site and can't figure out how to access the course. Is a DVD is being shipped to me? Is there some online code I was supposed to receive? Unfortunately, I cannot find an answer anywhere on the MSPA site or on the emailed receipt. I reached out to the MSPA staff two days ago and await an answer. In the meantime, thought I'd reach out to my fellow shoppers. Thank you in advance for any information.

Good luck. What you have encountered is typical of what others have been reporting for a couple of years (or more) about responsiveness of MSPA staff to shoppers. Please keep us informed of progress, or lack thereof.

Agree with walesmaven. Based on what I've read it seems like getting gold is mixed. Some think it's helped and some said it made no difference. And some said that they tried to get a refund and it was really difficult. There are a bunch of reviews of MSPA on BBB. I thought about getting gold for a second and decided against it.

The "gold" is when they put yours in their pockets. I'm not certified to do MS'ing and haven't seen any impact in the 24 years I've shopped.

I did lose out on a shop last week because the MSC stated they were giving preference to those with MSPA Silver.

Shopping up and down the Colorado Rocky Mountain front range.

I've seen the same thing and still gotten the jobs. Given the choice between a brand new certified shopper and one with a proven record, the proven shopper usually gets the gig.
