What do you like, MSNinja?
I don't like Taco Bell, although I ate there for lunch back in the 70s in high school. I would only eat bean burritos or tostados, though. Their meat tastes and looks like dog food, though I am certain dog food has come a long way and is probably superior to Taco Bell meat. We don't have the other mentioned businesses around here. That being said, I love Chipotle's tacos and also at my local tacquiera, yum.
Del Taco!!!! There aren't any on the East Coast.

I used to have a quarterly project in Houston. Nothing beats the tacos served out of the food trucks in the gas station parking lots in the questionable neighborhoods. Best. Tacos. Ever.

We've got both Del Taco and Taco Bell here, I give TB the win on price, DT the win on variety. Doesn't TB seem to just package the same four ingredients in a dozen different ways? Still I like both. I'm with @bgriffin though, for a really great taco, you have to go to a gas station or food truck like we have here in Mexican town.

proudly shopping in the D.
Yall have me on the Del Taco website.

I want a taco.

There's Jim Boy's Tacos here in CA. Like I said before, it all depends on who's in the kitchen. The JB by me is substandard. The JB in Woodland is much better. Have you ever been served some guacamole that had some browning in it? Meaning, it was not brightly colored green but dull looking? I was served that by the JB in my town. By the way, Taco Bell's food comes frozen and then it gets reheated at the restaurant.
One thing I dislike about Mexican fast food is the "bean paste." I like regular beans, but I'm not a fan of the bean paste they use in Taco Bell items.

Taco Bell's meats also don't seem fresh grilled. It tastes microwaved. lol.

Do they serve Horchata at Jim Boy's?
prefer del taco over taco bell but a tb is so close to home some times i cave in
Although I have been known to make enchilada sauce and mole from scratch, my secret fast food sin is Taco Bell crispy tacos. Takes me back to my poor grad student days in the 70s. Then, any even faintly Mexican food in Madison, WI was a bit exotic. And, they sure were a cheap lunch. A buddy of mine and I walked off the calories because we had to walk back a mile AND up Bascom Hill to get back to our graduate RA dungeons to work after lunch.

Their doing a T.V. show on Taco Bell, the previews were nasty...the CEO is doing an investigation on its workers...forgot the name though very popular and no, wouldn't put that meat in my tummy! My FF choice would be Baja Fresh, love their shrimp taco's...now I want one.....Cafe Rio is also great and fresh, they don't use a micro and nothing is frozen, everything made fresh daily. They have a woman that makes fresh tortilla's all day.....you can taste the difference, and Taco Tuesday their taco salad is 6 bucks.....so happy the old days fast food has competitor's that do it better....growing up in San Francisco, they had no FF (in my day), not even a McD....never had a taste for it.

There are in FL if you consider that east coast.
I like to know what should I do to get an assignment? I have been to a couple of fast food places in Parkersburg WV and Vienna WV. I ate at one place that all you can eat chicken, Mash Potatoes,Green Beans and there were some other things on the buffet table. The place was very nice and clean. Even the bathrooms. The drinks was sold separate. The staff was very kind. And they were on there top of things. They kept the food coming. And they was really pack. They never had anything that was empty. It was always full. And they even had the tables clean . All the time. The price was different twice. So I ask them why was our price of our meal was cheap day day. And higher the next day. And I had the same people that I had there the first time. And the same time . And it was doing the week. The cashier told me that children that 3 and under are free and children that 4 to five are 1.99. Thats why are lunch was cheaper the first day. And the price was higher the next day.
I consider FL the south.

A couple of months ago I was out running and errands and got hungry. I figured that a bowl of pintos and cheese would be a cheap and relatively healthy snack that would stick with me until I got home. I was right :-)

I eat Taco Bell once every couple years, and then I regret it a few hours later.
Your comment reminded me of an incident with my son (14 years ago!!!) when he was only 15 years old and SO eager to go to his Junior/Senior dinner.....especially since a young lady he had a crush on had accepted his invitation. The NIGHT BEFORE this event, he stopped at a Taco Bell and got who knows what....tacos/burritos, whatever.....well, he got FOOD POISONING that very night. Poor kid!! He was on the commode, LITERALLY, ALL NIGHT!!!! ..... with a trash can by his side for the vomiting!! He didn't want his mom very far away, so here I was, laying on the floor outside of the bathroom door. I had the "cleaning up the trash can" duty (Ugh!!) It FINALLY let up about 6 in the morning, and here he was, supposed to go on the Jr/Sr dinner event!! He slept for about 6-7 hours, and we got him there!! From then on, his NEW NAME for Taco Bell has been TACO HELL!!
Del. Taco. Crinkle. Cut. Fries! Yum!

I like Taco Bueno... I haven't eaten at Taco Bell for a few years. When I lived up in the Seattle area I really liked Taco del Mar.
