I haven't seen any posts by Flash in a while. I wonder where she is.

I think that she is taking a break from the forum. She has done this in the past. I think that she is probably in touch with those closest to her on the forum, but cannot say for sure.

It's my understanding that she was upset with the fighting amongst the forum members when I returned and was treated very poorly by some people. At least that's what I have been told. We were by no means friends so I was not told that directly and honestly I have a different opinion that I will not be sharing. But that's the official line if I'm not mistaken.

"the official line" ? That's inaccurate and a wild stretch, particularly since you post you were not friends, and are relying on hearsay.

The official line could only come from Flash, or from someone she designated to speak on her behalf.

If I'm not mistaken (and I'm not), I put two disclaimers in that post that I was simply repeating what had been told to me. It was told by someone who stated flash told them this. That she was unhappy with all the bickering. I would have no reason to think that this person lied to me. It seems like a perfectly reasonable and innocent enough reason to leave. It's not like that was a controversial statement. Since I believe the two of you are friends, perhaps you would like to share with us what the reason flash isn't posting is? Or at least the one she tells people.

Hardly the first time you've found something I said offensive and insulting lol.
Since you're sharing can you at least tell me what is offensive and insulting about my post as I really don't like insulting or offending people when that is not my intent. Normally when I say something offensive or insulting I'm well aware of it. In this particular instance I am not. Or maybe thinking you were friends was insulting? I honestly am confused.

If you think that I was spouting some "official line," you are MUCH mistaken. If someone asks about a forum member ho is being missed, it is certainly NOT an invitation to air you rather grudging and condescending remarks. Some of us actually expect better of you!

I'm sorry if you thought I was referring to you specifically. You are hardly the only person I asked that question of and you are not the only one who made the similar comment. I personally think private discussions should stay private, but in this instance several people said the same thing and it seemed like an innocent enough statement.

I still don't get the big deal. She apparently told several people, or one person who repeated it to several people, that she did not like all the fighting. Someone asked where she went and since no one had replied I gave the simplest answer I could. That apparently she was upset. I was asked to further elaborate and I stated the reason I was told. I don't think that was a bad reason to not post in the least bit and she would hardly be the first person to leave because people bicker here for sure.

The only thing I have said that was in the least bit grudging or condescending is the fact that my opinion differs from what I have heard she is telling people. And I honestly have no grudge against Flash. I'm not sure why I should unless she was involved in my dispute with other forum members in a way that wasn't made public?

I am home and working on many things here. We all get older and as the youngest sibling, I am dealing with health and other issues of older siblings. As the 'tax person' in the family I have been weeding through getting done a whole stack of tax returns. I am also knee deep in an extensive 'spring cleaning' that has been delayed too many years so have a significant amount of 'stuff' accumulating for eBay listings.
I am doing a fair number of shops, though not having enough time and energy to do as many of them as I would like. And of course that is one of the real benefits of mystery shopping--you can step away at any time for personal business and return later when you wish to resume or increase your business.

Bgriffin is correct that I do not like the bickering and snideness that this forum has become, but that has been an issue for quite some time--both with and without him. At this time I just do not find enough positive benefit to participating in this forum to spend the time doing so.

I agree...i'm sure she's well, she didn't care for me, but, I had nothing against her. She gave good advice.

As far as forums go... this is one of the friendliest I have seen, but I have been here less than six months. Unfortunately, there will always be some snidness / rudeness in any community. I will do my part and try to always contribute positively. It is unfortunate whenever someone is driven away.
