Another Broken Egg (not just a breakfast restaurant also open for lunch and has great sandwiches).

Also you do realize that the General Chat area is specifically for topics not mustery shop related, right? There is no need for the additional disclaimer.

The best breakfast is always the mom and pop family restaurants, no matte what area I am in. I will usually search these out if traveling.

For the big chains,
#1 - Dennys
#2 - Bob Evans
#3 - Waffle House
FF -
#1 - White Caste (Breakfast sliders with sausage are fantastic!)
#2 - McDonalds
#3 - Sonic

I do it to allow MSNinja to make fun of me. grinning smiley
White Castle is just gross. Sonic i agree is fantastic. Maybe my second favorite behind Chick-fil-a. Hardees would be third. McDonalds is ok but nothing to write home about.

Waffle House is the best big chain. Dennys is good but Bob Evans is horrible! Where does Cracker Barrel fit? Is that considered a breakfast restaurant??

We are from the St Pete beach area but live in the north Atlanta area now, just got First Watch here and so happy as we missed them.

No Village Inn here, which is too bad, really loved the pie!

You eat behind Chik-fil-a?
If that's where they're serving it!

Tell us about Cora's. I have never heard of it. I googled and found Cora's Coffee Shop in Santa Monica, CA?

I don't appreciate @bgriffin totally disrespecting and bullying my choice for favorite FF breakfast restaurant. He obviously doesn't appreciate fine breakfast cuisine served for less than a buck fitty. How can anyone call something "gross" describing a delicous breakfast sandwich served with a freshly fried egg (not round, looks like something I would cook) delicately placed on top a savory spicy sausage patty with a slice of cheese all encased in a soft and fresh slider roll? I question his value to this conversation, but Chk Fil A is pretty good, even if they don't have but a couple of locations around here. Is there a double toggle button?

I'll take a mimosa from Mimi's. They're not afraid to put that Santa Fe omelet right on top of a waffle!
Normally I don't care for chains, but it is hard to argue with Mimi's since they start serving those mimosas at 7 amsmiling smiley

In Maryland - First Watch
In LA - Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles
In NY - The West Egg
In Philadelphia - Penrose Diner
In Wichita - the place that served the country fried steak strips loaded with gravy, eggs and hash bowns
In Alabama - Bay Skillet, they served hash browns loaded with seafood
In Detroit - the omelette place

Where is this? I'll be in Mobile in a couple of weeks but a google search does not come up with anything in Alabama at all.

I can't find "The Omelette Place" in Detroit either, and I've been here 15 years. I love omelettes! Where is it?

Ah, the lack of capitalization made me think perhaps she couldn't remember the name of "the omelet place."

Also I'm sorry you live in Detroit. winking smiley

Hell BG save your sympathies for someone who needs them. I'm damn glad I live here, and I've lived a lot of places. You don't know what your missing. Don't believe everything you hear.

"When you say you're from Detroit, you have an automatic cred and a coolness that translates everywhere I've been. That's a status symbol to say you're from Detroit. It implies something. You come from a place where all of this great music and all these great cars, and all of these great, cool things [are from]. I'd love to be able to say that I came from Detroit. That would be like the coolest thing I could ever say."

I mystery shopped it a few times and that's how I learned about it. It's based in Quebec. Here is a link:

Building a new La Madeleine right down the street from me. Supposed to be finished by end of summer. I've heard it was pretty good - anyone know if it's shopped?
Another Broken Egg is really nice with fantastic food but a bit pricey (they are shopped btw).
