What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I've been craving fried oysters for a few weeks. Today, I treated myself to happy hour at Legal Seafood after work.

It was worth every single calorie!

My husband's work is having a fun family day today. I'll be taking my little man to that for a couple of hours before his nap.
I"m setting out my jar of sun tea, and then after I have coffee i will go to Lowe's to buy grass seed for my problem areas that I'm working on. It's going to be another day of yard work since I have no shops today unless someone has an emergency. I'm always available for emergencies LOL.
BG, I have perfected the art of making tea on top of the stove. No teapot needed. I need counter space far more than I need an iced tea maker. Or I will, if I ever have counters again.

Liking the breakfast date, hoping you're doing okay.
i'm just o,k. have to get medicine...I have Vertigo. Date was not close to a romance, just a friend, breakfast was great.

Mimi's is my favorite place to go for my birthday breakfast. Eggs Benedict prepared by someone else and a few Mimosas at the crack of dawnwinking smiley

Good morning!

It is nearly time for the morning job. After that, there will be mystery shopping. For dessert, there will be a few stretches, poses, and welcome sleep.

I haven't gone to sleep yet. I will guzzle coffee and hold myself upright until after the contractor appears, and then disappears. At that time I will fall over. Thankfully I have no shops today.
Oh, CQ, I hope the contractor is quick. You need some sleep!

Today I need to register my son for his next round of swimming lessons. Registration started on Tuesday but I've been busy and haven't made it to the rec center. Now I just hope is class isn't full.
Dr's. appt. now, AT@T phone re-adjustment, errands and home, hoping my Vertigo finds someone else to latch onto.....or medication kicks in....

I was going to work tomorrow. Now I may have to haunt downtown St. Louis looking for the rally kitten.

Back in 2011 when the Cardinals had the most bizarre run to the World Series Trophy, a squirrel ran across home plate during one of the early games. The rally squirrel became an icon and was even memorialized on the World Series rings that year.

It sounds like quite a few people are looking for that cat! It was really cute.

I've been grabbing all the sonic shops I can find in order to acquire iced tea. I had one scheduled for today and I walked out my front door to realize that the city has my street blocked off and are doing some kind of work out there. So I had to reschedule, luckily I have some bottles of green tea in the fridge. My Sun tea is gone and I am unable to wash the container as it won't fit in the tiny bathroom sink upstairs. Well, that thing is at least 50 years old. I'm going to hazard a guess it was installed in the 40's. I'm sure it was the ultimate in modern amenities. Maybe I'll walk across the street and use my neighbors sink, but i really don't want to be a bother. So for the moment, green tea it is. I actually love green tea but try to avoid sugar and the first ingredient listed on these bottles is HFCS.
I can't believe I just wrote an entire paragraph about tea.
In other news our contractor told us to pick out a floor over the weekend so it appears progress is being made. Yay! I think we will be going with vinyl plank flooring. It looks exactly like wood but is immune to water which is kind of important in a kitchen. Our dog loves ice cubes and leaves them lying around at times.
No traffic can get through and you cannot get in or out? That is downright crazy, not to mention dangerous.

I could get out, but my car cannot. An ambulance could use an alley behind the houses on either side of the street. But yes, I agee. It's crazy. They could leave at least one end open.

After I get done with my two shops for the day (we finished the grocery store reset I have been working on all week), I am going to get my car washed (the dealership where my husband bought my car gives free carwashes for life with the purchase of any vehicle). Then I am going to buy some stuff to make margaritas and chicken fajitas for dinner tonight.
While doing 4 reports from yesterday's shops I listing a whole bunch of stuff on the local Freecycle site. About 80 percent was spoken for within minutes. Most of that has been picked up and one small batch will be gone around 5:30. Now it's time for a (non-shop) trip to the post office, a dry cleaner stop to collect my freshly laundered video shirts, thence CVS for an Rx, and then grocery store.

I stayed in bed until 10, and then binge watched House of Cards after I finished my shop report.

I am listening to something Celtic or Irish. It is lovely music! Soon, I must do my tiny report and get ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow, there will be early morning job, housework, nap, and a mini road trip. This one is packed and does not permit me to relax by the roaring river. However, due to some glitch somewhere, the trip will be repeated for one task. That trip will be manageable and I will spend as much time as possible near the river and the critters. That will more than make up for making a second trip. After all, I do this as much for the wide open spaces as for anything else. Maybe more for the wide open spaces? Long live the wide open spaces!

Today I woke up around 5 which is not the norm for me. I had no food so I went out and got a biscuit with sausage and eggs and came home with the intention of napping. The contractor texted me and wanted to come over, so I stayed up. Then I remembered I had a fast little ATT shop and I went and did that. Then I gassed up the car and went to wal mart to get salads and a roasted lemon chicken for dinner. Came home, did the report and loaded up on shops for monday, tuesday, and wednesday.
I envy Shop-et-al the wide open spaces. I will be working in the city for 3 days straight. Ugh. Tomorrow I'll go to Lowe's and try to select cabinets and floors.

Redoing some patio plants that took a beating from the heat, odd and end stuff around the house and
movies in the afternoon. Can't forget playing Candy Crush, my stress reliever. Talking to my best friend about our kids.....whatever else turns up!!

I am going to take a paint chip from the accent wall in the dining room and go get paint to touch up the wall, then cleaning bathrooms. That's probably about it.
