Tomorrow is trash day and recycling day. So, emptying all wastebaskets, cleaning out the fridge, and generally getting stuff ready for the housemate who hauls it all to the curb late tonight. No shops today due to heat index issues. Laundry, charge and test the new Bluetooth video cam, assemble the new lamp (that I missed doing earlier in the week), manicure, more cooking-ahead food prep and organizing the remaining July shops to fit in a couple of new ones before heading north on vacation late in the month.

Hello, I have not read the whole thread. I would love to hear about teaching people in other countries by webcam or Skype. I have a Masters with a minor in education, and speak native English. Thank you Wonderful Shopper friends! Love from Night Owl at 7:55 PM.
Today was 4 hour dentist appt., impressions, ex-rays, scheduled for 2 removals and a root canal.....would rather be shopping, trust me on that one.

And?

Hubby is gone until Sunday, so tonight I treated my Shake Shack dinner shop as an adventure. It's located in a walkable area, so I got there early and did just that.

Taking my Samsung phone to Verizon store for help with finding whatever is causing it to lose power faster than it charges. Yup, while plugged in and showing the "charging" icon it shows battery status declining. I have many high fee shops, starting tomorrow, that will require pix. So, all other chores planned for today are on hold
ETA... Phone just regained its little mind, so heading off to do a quick local garage and then a non-shop manicure.

I love Verizon. I've been with them for 10 years. They are expensive, but the service is reliable. Whenever I call them, they lower my bill. I have both of my parents on my family plan and sometimes we run out of data (3 Gb). I called them up to see how I can lower my bill. They gave me a loyalty discount of unlimited data for $20 less on my bill.

Getting a pedicure. Really looking forward to it since I did merchandising resets this week, on my feet 8-hours a day.
I'm sitting here at my daily grind....stressed out....burned out and played out. My retirement countdown ticker says I have 10 months 5 days 12 hours 25 minutes and 23 seconds !!!!

After a long hiatus being too busy to shop I am back at it with a vengeance and loving it. I spent all day yesterday and today getting my paperwork up to date along with my spreadsheets.
Still at werk, still fer da man. LOL

Shops have dried up a little around me. My local Papa Johns suddenly has a sign on the door that they didn't pay their rent (locked out per shopping plaza), and they were actually a good one. The grocery shops are sitting way to low for me to take them right now, under $10 all around me. No worries, I will just wait it out. Flying next weekend and put in for a big combo shop of the airport but they have not got back to me. Worst case there is a shop with another company of a restaurant in the terminal that I can grab.

How many MSCs are you signed up with. What is your home base area? We might have some suggestions !!

Lying in bed being lazy. Later I will do laundry and then tonight going to hear a blues band with hubbys's cousins at this hole-in-the-wall bar down the road.

Well over 100, and I am in the southeast US. There are plenty of jobs out there, but I am picky. I don't do banks, because in small towns they remember you. I don't do car shops for under about $75, and they are all under that in my area. I don't like to do fast food because, well, that stuff is so bad for me and the pay sucks....Anyway, you get the picture. smiling smiley I am just really picky I guess.

Thank you for your offer though. Have a great day.

Well, woke up at 9:30 and stayed in bed till 10:30.....ahhhh! So after I finish here on the Forum, I'll do my online crossword puzzle, then start my housecleaning...vacuuming, cleaning the bathrooms, washing floors....etc. After that I'll probably vacuum the pool and bake some cookies. All in all, it should be a fairly relaxing day.
Met friends at SB, heard everyone's problems....Lunch at Jack, home to beat the heat and humidity....laundry, movie, clean fridge, movie, computer, reruns and so on.....

Live consciously....
Quiet day here. This day is for gazing at the overcast sky and wondering if it will rain soon, listening to music, accomplishing assorted organizational tasks, and finding an elusive $67 which are not needed but would make next month a little more fun. Shall I do more shops? Shall I slash the frou-frou budget? No. Not that. I need all the frou-frou I can get! There is always the 'let's cook a boatload of something for the freezer' trick, which slashes the food budget and frees up a substantial amount of time. My first choice is to complete one well-paid shop that I applied for and to make a boatload of chili for the hubby. I love that fee and the hubby loves the chili. But whatever.

p.s. Welcome back, CoffeeQueen!

p.p.s. HoneyBrown, just for you, yes for you, I will invent a recipe which includes Popcorn Shrimp!?!?!

Signing up with new companies. I'm back with a vengeance after a long break......I can't believe some of my old companies still had my info after 10 years.

Today was a bad back day, so I just tried to relax. I went to meet up with some friends for lunch, and then spent some time in the pool which was a nice surprise since they were calling for rain today. Hope you all had great days!

Everything was going great...getting done everything I wanted to get done.....then.....about 8:15 pm, hubby & I start smelling what smells like wires burning....oh no!!! So we shut off the fans and A/C. The A/C fan motor keeps going!! That's odd!!! Check the breakers, shut the A/C breakers off, the fan STILL going. Shut the heater breakers off, and everything shut off...finally. So......in a panic, I call our A/C guy....poor fella, he's eating supper in a restaurant somewhere. He says he'll come by....hopefully be here between 9:30 & 9:45 (it's 9:20 now). We talk on the phone about possibilities. That tray that holds the condensation from the coils.....apparently it didn't drain properly and water spilled over and touched fan motor wires below. Now this is odd, because I CHECKED this not 2 weeks ago & it was draining FINE!!! PLUS.....2 or 3 times a year, I flush the thing with a 50/50 combo of bleach & water, because gunk builds up, and did it about 3 months ago, I'd say. So he suggests flushing the pipe where the water drips out, outside. So hubby & I hooked up the hose and flushed it from the outside up about 8 times, and gunk came out and it started draining. I'm almost out of bleach, so I then flushed the inside tray with 2 bottles of peroxide and a small cup of 50/50 bleach-water, followed by several cups of water. The drain looks fine now, but he's still coming by because of the burning wires smell. We want to make sure no lasting damage was done......Funny thing, he's on the schedule to come by on Monday anyway, just to check over the system......guess it needs checking!!!

Grateful for temp in the 70s right now, with cloudiness and some light rain....windows open and fans going....very tolerable.
I don't know what what a Sheldon Cooper is, or why you have a problem with popcorn shrimp.

Today was church, a meeting for Women's Day afterwards, eyebrow threading and laundry. On the way home, I stopped by WaWa for a quesadilla I have been craving. It tasted like plastic.

Thanks guys. What a whirlwind it's been. I feel out of the loop but I've scheduled myself to the max so at least I'll make some money! Today I ran out for one quick shop and I think I need a nap. I have tons of housework to catch up on along with laundry. So nothing exciting going on.
