Honny, I'm so glad for you!! I know you will be ecstatic when you are done! My son finished his the 2nd week of December...he's glad he did it, but he's glad it's over!!! Congrats to you!!
I had a gap between timed shops. Instead of going to a nearby department store where I would spends my fees, I went to a chain restaurant and got a dirty martini. The man sitting next to me was quite intriguing. He was in his late 70s, and we had similar catholic school nun nightmares/trauma. He gave me a fist bump.

It was an enjoyable way to spend time!

Inspired by the twists & turns of the word association game, I am listening to The Bangles. On now is Manic Monday. Net up is Eternal Flame. Oohhhh, I am so old 'cos I have loved these songs for decades...

Manic Monday
Six o'clock already
I was just in the middle of a dream
I was kissin' Valentino
By a crystal blue Italian stream
But I can't be late
'Cause then I guess I just won't get paid
These are the days
When you wish your bed was already made
etc.

Today is schoolwork and looking at a molehill of dishes hoping that they will wash themselves.

CQ, how are you doing?

I think I am doing pretty well. I don't have any energy and it hurts to move sometimes but I manage to go up and downstairs, keep the dishes done and wash a load of laundry once in awhile. Then I collapse and sleep at odd times. I feel so lethargic that getting on my laptop seems like a huge effort.
One thing you don't know (and I didn't know) unless you have had this surgery is that they put a drain in you and the fluid drains into a little plastic container on the outside of your body via a long tube. So I have to keep that thing maintained and it's a giant PITA. Can't wait to be rid of it.

The human body is amazing. All of the processes it implements to heal you are exhausting and draining. I'm happy you are doing well.

I was gonna ask, "How are things at your end?" But you told us...

Today I made chicken salad from a giant poached chicken breast I defrosted. Then I did some dishes. I want banana pudding but it will have to wait.

Sweet.

Today, since I cannot walk, I will be taking a drive down PCH. It's a lovely day. Probably drive thru a Starbucks at some point. I'll head to Costco for gas, since it is really easy to find an attendant to pump it for me.

Back early enough to make dinner. Homemade marinara sauce with some fresh veggies (mushrooms and zuc that I saw in the kitchen) over some not-homemade noodles. My wine fridge is completely full, so I need to get busy drinking some of it. Being off of work for a couple of months isn't all that bad.
Coffee, yes, those drains are a real pain!! (I had one back in 2014 with my mastectomy surgery). Glad you are in the recuperating phase!!
I'll be right over.

JAS I received my martini glass, thank you!

Today is a Goodwill Meetup.

Today I threw a giant pkg of chicken in the crock pot with the ranch pesto sauce. I think Ill make rice in the rice cooker to go with it and then I can make fried rice for dinner tomorrow with the leftovers. My work here is done.
Hubby bought a desk for his office at a consignment shop and is exchanging texts with someone who will deliver it for him. Together we bought a small buffet for our dining room at an antique mall. Youngest Son is coming by later to help carry it in. I haven't decided if the 1960s walnut will look good in our dining room or if I will be painting it.

Happiness is not a goal; it is a by-product. Eleanor Roosevelt
The Goodwill Meetup was fun and productive. Members got 50% off of their purchases. I bought a bunch of kitchen items (a quesadilla maker), art work and sweaters.

Perfect. It's about 20 bottles of wine, so bring friends.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I did a shop at a grocery store after church. The reimbursement was $15. I planned on getting the 3 ingredients for another Pesto Ranch Chicken dish.

I shopped the only grocery store in the world that does not carry skinless, boneless chicken thighs. I bought wine instead, and the ranch and pesto.

Honny, I made mine with thighs with skin and bone. The skin falls off.
The bones fall out, lol.

Walked 4 ;miles with my friend. Made a nice healthy lunch for me and my friend. My husband goes to Flea markets on Sundays, so I walk with a friend. I hate Flea Markets, you can go in my basement or garage and find most items.
CoffeeQueen, I had my gallbladder out when I was 21 years old. I can eat just about everything, just watch your fats. Bile breaks down fat, now that your gallbladder is out the bile goes directly to your liver, not a problem, just you will know what foods bother you. Hope your feeling better soon.
Worked. Finished report (beloved msc made an adjustment & survey became accessible). Now, at the slothful old hour of 6:11 AM, I contemplating the merits of napping, staying awake and working out, and sorting something. Meh...
