Plant based, non-dairy, cruelty-free.
Some are nut-based. Some are soy.
Some are oat milk, etc.

I used the pepper jack for a quesadilla tonight.

Country Crock plant based butter with avocado and olive oil is soooooo good.

LEGOS are worth more now than when I bought them, strangely enough.

The guy in the office next to mine sold a set for $500+ on e-baby. I don't know what year it was but his son is now 24 years old.
Another boring day online. I am tired of for the sake of things online work meetings. A funny; DH's students had to experience 25 minutes of technical difficulties. They could hear him but not see him. He signaled for DD's help. He had the webcam cover slid over. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mom wants to go home. Says she has a lot of things to do.
This evening is binge watching Lost.

I have the Eiffel Towel, which should go for nearly $1000 at the end of the year.
ETA: My son is in college. I think that the Eiffel Tower was $199 new when I bought it.

Work. Find stuff to donate. One project.

I'm back at the office again. Until this week, I teleworked but came in to the office 3 times a week. Most of my co-workers are still teleworking so the office is dark and pretty empty. I get to park right by the front door for a change. After a couple months of seeing few other cars on the way to work and lunch, traffic is back. Most office parking lots and downtown parking garages are filling up, so people are going back to work. No shop today so I am going to grab a Subway sandwich. They have a BOGO Foot Long,
It's cottonwood pollen season, and after a long walk yesterday woke up with a scratchy throat today. Normally I would take an allergy tablet and keep on going, but out of an excess of caution I will put off my trip to Aldi and the produce market until tomorrow.

Yeah, allergies have been real bad in my area of SC. I've been taking generic Claritin every day for over a month now, along with a SudafedPE once a day, for allergies. I've gone through 2 bottles of generic Flonase (taking a break of 2-3 weeks between each bottle). I've had the scratchy throat off and on this season. Sunday I started with a slight sore throat as well. No fever, been taking my temp twice a day using two different thermometers...always between 97.6-98.3.

The DHEC in my area has set up LOADS of free Covid-19 test clinics, so on Monday, I registered hubby and myself to get one done, and yesterday we drove to the church site where this particular one was being carried out. All very clean and professional, and all workers properly protected with PPE. The thing is, that nasal swab went WAAAAAYYYYYY up the nostril!! Phew!! Thought it was going to come out of my tear duct, haha! But they said that the swab had to go past a certain "bump" to get to where it needed to go. But the discomfort only lasted about 3-4 seconds. Hubby and I are glad we got it done. At least we will have a baseline. They'll only call us if one of us is positive, and that will be within 3-4 days. So that was cool to get that done.
I hope your test experience is better than the 'free Covid tests' here. They were offering 750 tests per day and gave folks paperwork with a number to call in 2-5 days and a number to call after 5 days. The 2-5 days number apparently rang and rang and rang without being answered. The 5 day number was busy busy busy. After two weeks folks who got through the 5 day were notified their tests had spoiled so they needed to retest and a special 'Express Lane' would be set up for them. The local news last night was indicating the frustration of a woman who got the Express Lane retest and when she called for results they were unable to find her retest number in the system matched to her name and were unable to find her name in the system for either the first test or the retest. The State's recommendation was that she go for a retest and could use the Express Lane.
That pretty much sums up why people have no faith in "the numbers game" that all of these politicians are playing. What a disgrace!
Sheesh, Flash, that's horrible! No, it all seemed to go through smoothly so far. I have a number of the Medical Center where the test result is going. If I don't hear from anyone by next Monday, instead of just assuming hubby & I are negative, I'll call and make sure. We also downloaded an app for the Medical center where the test result goes, and we are supposed to be able to have access to the test results through the app. So hopefully, all will go smoothly.
I have seasonal allergies every season. I take allergy pills daily to feel normal. I get the generic brand from BJ's (regional Costco) since they are 365 pills in one bottle.

I get an employee discount on Amazon brands. I didn't know they had so much stuff! They have their own brand of cookware, clothing, household items, etc. They have a store, but it doesn't show all of the items.

I read online that Amazon might buy JC Penney, or parts of it, that will beef up the Amazon offerings.

Anyway, that sounds like a nice perq! smiling smiley

In my first class in grad school we studied the fall of JCP. They went from a discount store with a loyal customer base to something very different due to a former Apple big wig. He tried to make them into a boutique store and actually compared them to Nordstrom's!

Indeed I heard a lot of wailing from folks who had been loyal JCP customers who felt the door had been shut in their faces. They did not forgive and forget. Meanwhile those who had been occasionals at JCP were turned off when JCP supposedly returned to its roots because the quality at a discount had just been replaced by cheap that wasn't inexpensive.
JCP was followed by people who wanted quality items at a rock bottom price, and that's what JCP gave them. When the Apple CEO took over, he lowered the prices and took away the coupons. He then had a vision of turning JCP into a boutique store and drawing in Nordstrom customers. I don't know how that was supposed to work because he was ousted when the shares fell yet again.

For some reason, the remote deposit function for my main bank account has not been working for a couple of days. So, today I will make an ATM visit (first time in quite a while), then a stop at a specialty grocer, a stop at Aldi (if the line is not crazy long), and a drop at the local Post Express place (next to Aldi). I really like the local Post Express which is operated by a family of recent immigrants from somewhere in South Asia. They also offer notary, printing, faxing, packing supplies, passport services, you name it.

They accept outgoing items for USPS and just about every other carrier and, if you like, will also receive and hold incoming packages from all of those. Although my neighborhood has never been hit by the front porch thieves, I am sure that folks in other nearby areas see a need for that service.

Work. House tasks. Errands. Do something about misplaced phone charger. I can get another original online (wait. is that an oxymoron?) but I will call a few places near where I am going today and find out if anyone has that in store. Set up tomorrow's little projects.

It seems I have to limit my Instacarts to 2 per day. The app severely drains my battery. The two I did today were profitable.

You are someone who might benefit from investing in an instant charging pack. A couple of Insta shops ought to pay for it.

I used to love JCP. When I was little and we were stationed overseas, we would make our Christmas list based on two things, the JCP Wish book and the AAFES holiday catalog. A few years ago, I got a JCP credit card after rebuilding my credit and was so excited. They had my favorite work pants, Women in Control and I swear I bought 2 of everything they had in my size. I paid my credit card off every single month and they canceled it last year. I have never shopped from them again.
Honny, I just got a bunch of the Amazon brand stuff because I had a $25 credit for Amazon Pantry. The coffee is reallllllly good.

Shopping the South Jersey Shore
Went to Mass (at a different church than last week-it was interesting to compare/contrast the differences). The first restaurant we tried to go to was closed, so we ended up at a pizza place. They had socially-distanced tables outside, so for the first time in months we did not carry out our food. Ended up by driving through Andy's Custard for a concrete.

Work. Wondering about the high cost of money (alleged forged twenty dollar bill spawns millions if not billions of dollars in real damage to real money and real lives). Anticipating a change/no change in the early morning job: At first, we were to drop down to six days per week, but something was added back in and we will remain at seven days per week. This is a good thing.

I made chili this morning for the next few days. I wanted to have it for dinner, but it was too bland. Other than that, I cleaned the kitchen and did laundry. I am looking forward to going to work tomorrow.

Work. Final season of Seachange (waaaaaaaaaaaaah!). Weekly installment of Dead Still (two more after today!). Scrutinize hair for signs of split ends. Fortunately, there are none. I can stay out of salons indefinitely (good for budget and. possibly, longevity).

I found the 1900 Sherlock Holmes silent movie short. Hah!
