What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I finished my work and postponed projects. My back has had enough for now. So I selected a few goofy movies, did a gentle back workout, stretched everything that moved, and called it good.

While out completing several mystery shops, I drove past one of the area hospitals that have a free drive-through Covid testing site. There were no long lines, so I decided to go get tested again. It's been 3 months since I've been tested, so I figure it's a good time to see how I'm doing. Should have the results in a day or two.
Waiting to hear about the early job. It would be wonderful to have consistent start/finish times.

Got the results via email before I went to bed last night!! Negative. They must be doing the rapid testing at this location, because that was an awfully quick turn-around time!
Went to mass for Ash Wednesday and had the ashes sprinkled on my head instead of a cross traced on my forehead.

Did one postal shop and one bonused grocery shop today.

Edited to say: DUH!!! I posted this in the wrong thread...so sorry!!! Let's see, non-shopping....hmmm....I made a delicious spinach/onion quiche for supper!!

Work and extra work times 6. Errands. Finally, re-watch Blades of Glory. bwahaha. No less than Sarah Kawahara taught Will Ferrell and Jon Heder to skate for their roles in this flick!

I forgot about the drive by ash Wednesday at my church.

The manager in my region is moving us to facilities close to our homes. At the same time, my work week will be shortened and I will be working longer days. The 2 hours that I spend commuting now will be spent at work. The irony.

It was a busy day today staying home---Load of laundry, cooked a tamale pie for dinner, went through more files to weed out 25-30 year old paperwork, brought in a few logs for the fireplace and then cleaned up the mess, shortened a new pair of jeans so DH can wear them. Darn Levi Strauss Co. I must have chopped 7" off each leg before re hemming on sewing machine. That's a lot of denim to pay for and not use.
Snow Day. I submitted my tax docs online for a shop. I may do a wine run later.

Work (we always do work times 4.5) and extra work x 3. This is less unreasonable than yesterday! Errands. Finally, hubby is taking steps to deal with this... inexplicable... individual who has been such a puzzle for the last ten months or so. He is looking for a way to put an end to the demands, the nonsense, and the issues that inevitably pop up when she/one of her characters/someone as yet unidentified/?/??? does something that negatively impacts his finances. He has even stopped berating bankers who point out the issues and turn the situations over for investigation. It will be a good thing for everyone-- if it is effective.*hopes*

The scamtress is back? I thought you shut that down.

I had an appointment, then went to Post office to mail a letter to my mother and to Tops and got my favorite pumpernickel bread!! Came home and had lunch, then took bus to Dollar tree and got glasses and some greeting cards for my mom (93 in nursing home) and my aunt that is 101 in nursing home. Walked to Aldi's, shopped a little, took bus home. Planning for my birthday.... Will be 68 in 2 weeks. Also planning another Instacart trip for mom. Last time it went quite well. Would love to do it again!! smiling smiley
It never went away completely. It changed forms, told ever more loony stories to gain compliance, and wangled hubby's information. Every time they try something with hubby's accounts, it sends up red flags, notifies bankers, and leads to investigations.

Why not close the breached accounts and replace them with different ones?

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
That has happened. He finally stopped giving her/them/??? access to his accounts. I think.

It should be an easy day at work tomorrow as the kindergarteners are testing. So no observations and lesson plans are done! Hoping it's warmer than today so I can take the dogs for a walk. I think I have a cold 8*0 <<<--me sneezing
My left heel hurts, making it very uncomfortable to walk. Dr. Google helped me diagnose it as possible plantar fasciitis. This afternoon I rested my feet on warm field corn heating pad and it seemed to help. I wonder if the cold weather was part of the problem?

Early job is early! Any extra work there would only be a little late. Finish a gig (in my sleepiness I forgot something) and then show up at my job. Will I stay awake there, snore at my desk, what will be, will be. Well, maybe that is not what Doris Day crooned all those years ago. But it is just how it is at the end of this week.

Drove hubby over to the drive-thru Covid 19 testing site, so he could get tested also. Just to be sure that we're both negative!

ETA: the next day.......and we are....YAY!

Today we started seeds for 20 different tomato varieties, 9 spicy pepper varieties, a couple of trees that I like that I found seed pods for in public space, hollyhocks, lilacs and raspberry. I am hoping to get at least a couple of tree seedlings but would be surprised since I don't know what they are or what their germination needs are.
Ice and snow finally thawing today. Electricity was out for 12 hours on Tuesday, had 7 other outages for shorter periods. I'm fortunate to have a gas heater, gas stove and gas water heater. Have not been to work until today. No gas in town, bare shelves at the grocery store from people panic. Many terrible wrecks and pile ups. Most Texans do not drive on ice well. Three clients died from COVID this month. I'm finally working on back surgery because the pain is out of control. My appt with the neurosurgeon was cancelled due to weather. Will reschedule Monday. Ready for relief I pray.
I know about back things. Praying for you!

Today was unbelievably long. In light of the bad snowstorm yesterday, I woke up early so I could take a Lyft to work. Work was bittersweet since it was my last day at this location.

After work, I took a Lyft to the tax office. That was another 2 hours. Then a Lyft home.

I'm exhausted.

where do you live? I started a thread about the Texas conditions. I pray for you ????.
Watered plants today, changed sheets, going to watch Virgin River and make chicken/vegetable/noodle soup. Mmmmm good smiling smiley I woke up this morning and was cold. Duh I opened my drapes to see my window was open. Immediately made me think of chicken soup!
Work and extra work x 3. Try to stay awake long enough to do laundry before next job. Tomorrow, I can get back to the projects. Presumably, Tuesday is the day to do whatever training I am supposed to do for one job. This is the one that, for whatever reason, makes logging in to my account such a pita that I might rather quit than bother about the online access to my account. Every time, there is some issue that drags out the time needed for the tiniest things. (My job is tiny and I have no need-- besides this method of training-- to log in there.) It has been this way for 8? 9? years, and i think I am the only person who experiences this.

But enough about that. If I hurry, I can have laundry and a nap. This would be wonderful!
