I ditched my Lubriderm Body Lotion and made my own with shea and coco butter, coconut oil, and a few drops of lavender. Will have to see how it feels but smells really good.
When I did a Lush shop I purchased a body butter that has cocoa butter as the first ingredient and shea butter as the second. I am hooked.

Love assorted ingredients! We can customize products at will. Just now, I am sticking to basics. I am still photosensitive from the medication and am avoiding the citrus and other oils which can cause or exacerbate photosensitive. When the too-much medicine caused me to spew everywhere, I also lost my hydration. And got much, much worse. So I hydrate. Finally, my face and neck are ready to receive product. I am giving them unscented baby lotion. So basic. The rest of me is hardier and can handle the salt scrubs, etc. When those parts are ready, they can have whatever bland lotion I have then. I had to get rid of Dove, but not because I did not like it. I love it! Dermie recommended it a hundred or so years ago, and it is still a good basic product. My little pump bottle got knocked down and landed on the floor with the open part having bounced a few times near the floor. It probably kicked up who-knows-what from the fibers. I could not take a chance with potentially contaminated product, so I got rid of that bottle and will get more soon. Thank G that properly prepped skin can benefit from any product ranging from cheap to expensive or simple to complex.

Feeling good and watching Acorn TV. This is to distract myself from my cynicism and political ranting. *takes deep breath, twitches, just has to rant* *utterly destroys the illogical Roe vs. Wade* *scurries back to the Brit whodunit*

Completed one phone shop while little daughter was in speech...(yay me!) McDonald's for brunch and then a quick trip to the park. Baby girl left the patio door open while we went for a thirty minute walk. Now we have a fly infestation! I've smashed about thirty so far. Yuck!
Yay. And, ew! Fly strips work well. Even the ones from a dollar-type store work well at catching flies.

At church tonight some friends slid into the pew behind me and Hubby. As we were walking out I asked them if they had plans for dinner. They did not, so the four of us ended up going to a nearby steakhouse.

I stopped by TJ Maxx. I didn't have anything in mind so I walked around aimlessly. I bought designer shoes, a top by the same designer, a tea caddy and soap.

Tired. I finished most of today's work yesterday and need to save energy for going to the mountains tomorrow.

Got out early for a walk, then stopped by Fresh Thyme and Aldi. It started sprinkling on the way into Aldi, and 20 minutes later had turned into a steady rain.

Finishing 2 easy reports from yesterday. Recovering from walking 5 blocks in stifling heat and humidity, with no shade, yesterday. Heat and bad air days I will have to be more careful...much more careful. This will mean reorganizing where and when I go for July and August shops. Just got a shopper friend to take 2 @ $21 (each) shops (with walking involved) and replaced those with over $100 for 2 with no walking except parking area to bank and back, for large bonuses. Driving costs about equal, reporting times, about equal. Doing a very cautious, slow, happy dance here!

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
How dd you coordinate something like that with the MSCs?

Kathy,
One of the MSCs scheduler knows both my work and that of the other shopper well, since we each do hundreds of shops per year for that MSC. We just informed her that he was willing to take 2 of my assigned July shops that were closer to him than to me. That freed me to apply for and get two great bank shops with large bonuses with a different MSC that had trouble getting all of those shops done this quarter and therefore had bonuses for doing them through early July. No coordination between MSCs needed.

I picked up a money tree from Aldi on my last shopping trip. I repotted it yesterday.

Happy Sunday Everyone!
Today was church, trying to finish my book of the month via my Audiobooks app, a homemade brunch, book club discussion, a cute hairstyle for my baby girl, a dog walk, getting ready for the work week and hopefully I can squeeze in a bit of a Lifetime Movie before bed!

Up (as usual) to contend with the leg situation. While contemplating the great indignity of it all, and counting up how much work was/will be missed, I realized that there might be room in the world for a new invention. Perhaps there could be leg diapers that can contain drainage for long enough periods of time that people can do meaningful and helpful things such as walk, perform other exercise, and elevate the legs without soaking clothing, footwear, furnituree, and whatever else is in dripping distance. These diapers could be available in all skin tones, colorful for preference or style. and in fabrics for all seasons and climates. They could be thin enough to wear under pants or look like tights. The possibilities are endless, really. The biggest drawback is that they might work so well that no one need them, or many of them, for very long. Briefly, I considered galoshes, waders, and moving into the bathtub, but... Anyway, the situation really is improving-- at the speed of molasses. I still have to do all the physical and metaphysical heart work. The leg diaper might make it possible to walk enough to do some good!

Let's see....went to WMart to exchange a blinds set, the one I originally got was too short...this one was perfect! Washed 2 loads of clothes. Went with hubby to drop his truck off to have the air & fuel filters replaced tomorrow. Drove back home with him and then I made a peach pie, cooked supper, made some pnut butter/choc chip cookies, folded 2 loads of laundry, and now perusing the Forum. Phew!
Trip to he gym and puttering around the house. We got a check in the mail today, so after dinner I walked up to the grocery store to deposit it in the bank ATM.

Pleased to report on something besides an apparent gap in at-home medical products world... So the apartment is getting some love. New dishwasher? Check. New sink? Chec. It still needs parts, but at least this is in process. New stove elements? Chec. This is an old stove, and it is not so easy for anyone to match parts. But they are working on it. This is a good thing. ! Eventually, I need to get more gentle lotion and another pair of cheapie sneakers.Unless and until I can get through one whole day without slosh-y shoes, I need to alternate pairs of cheapie sneakers. Mind you, don't let the funky appearance deceive you. These shoes are surprisingly supportive and comfortable!

I went to the $1.25 Tree of Dollars during my abbreviated lunch hour today. Slim pickings for 7/4 paper plates. Wound up getting the last 5 packs they had. Twelve count square pack plates. Bought 2 12 ft. banners for the deck and beaded necklaces. Then I went to Target to get dessert plates, dessert napkins, cups and tablecloths. Going to use Costco paper towels as food napkins, LOL. My Mom is making a centerpiece that one lucky guest will take home. I like one stop shopping but sucked it up.
summer school is at a rough point. One of my students got on the wrong bus yesterday.
Oh, yes. Voted with the family with exception of baby girl who is registered as an Independent. I am happy with the outcome. Howevér, we are of differing parties. Still love and support each other.
At least you know who is with which party. I have no idea how any of my relatives affiliate or vote!

I live in the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area, which also includes a chunk of southwestern Illinois. We've been seeing Illinois political ads for weeks! Now I assume they'll go on hiatus until closer to the general election (just in time to be replaced by political ads for the Missouri primary, which is the first week in Auugst).

Still waiting for my mail-in ballot for the MD primary. I know who I am voting for EXCEPT the four at-large county counsel slots. Still need to sort the sheep from the goats for that.
