Just saw a program on the owner of "Shake Shack" the fastest growing burger place ever. The owner opened a fancy burger place in New York and this business (burgers) made him a billionaire. Interesting man and uses the best meat, everything is the best, no wonder we all love Shake Shack, hope they open one here, but I'd drive to Santa Monica...what am I saying....

never been but my daughter lives in nyc and i have friends there and they all swear by it. i have to make due with 5 guys but there is a habit burger grill in slc that i understand is pretty good. lots of upscale burger places here (wardorf astoria, st. regis hotel, etc.) but it's a $20 burger.
PCB....can't compare to Habit burger which is a 7 out of 10...not bad, better than five guys. really upgraded the entire industry, now games on....20$ for a burger, they better use truffle oil.

no truffle oil but comes with a snooty attitude and i refuse to pay $20 for a burger (not my style).
I wouldn't either, Shack /shack is as any, under 10....I was joking, but I guess if you've got it.....not my style either.

Shake Shack is soooo delicious. Their burgers aren't huge at all though. At least with 5guys you can get a large burger with tons of toppings, although at a price. Elevation burger has grass fed beef but I don't like their burgers at all. Quality from location to location varies. 5guys is pretty consistent as is shake shack.
I did my monthly Inn@Out yesterday and must say, they are always good, the line was out the door, and for the money a very good burger.

did a 5 guys today = grilled cheese + extra cheese + tomato + extra tomato + bacon + little fries + small fountain drink = $10.50 (below the max reimbursement) and was really, really good.
I'm glad you liked it Brian.....sometimes a burger is just that.....never had 5 guys, don't work for that Co., and if I'm spending my cash we have a place called Rustic burger, OMG talk about good.13.00$, but the best.

yep, the subs, in my town which is becoming a small restaurant place, not a chain, just the one and they make their own buns, use black Angus meat, can get it medium rare, which is the sign of good meat...most places they have to make it well done which I'm not a fan of. TMI...
