There is no such thing as best. For me, the one with zero questions is the best. YMMV.

Myers-Briggs tends to be the most detailed and therefore the most accurate, especially if you have someone qualified to administer the test and discuss the results.
This is probably a lead in to spam.

I hate that accursed thing. It is too long, and many of the answer options are absurd. There is no way to provide truthful or accurate answers for many of the questions. That is my opinion and it reflects my experiences with the unwieldy measuring device.

Because the answer choices do not fit well with some persons, the answers provided by those persons are forced at best. If the goal of measurement is to explain an individual, the tool/-s of measurement should not impede the expression of the individual.

Tests and Measurements. I love this topic! winking smiley

Isn't that one of the parts of the test, to see if you answer approximately the same for the same question that is formed differently? I believe this tests how far you wander.

check out ops other thread. just random questions w/no return to thread they started.
Tests and Measurements are related to this business. Regardless of anyone's intention toward spam, the topic itself is valid, and apparently unpopular... grinning smiley And, I did not bother to check the link. I do not do that. Umm... What does that say about my personality, haha.

sensei, in the past we have had people come in and make random posts having nothing to do with mystery shopping. After their post count is built up they add a signature line with a spam link. Maybe this one will or maybe they won't. Most of the time the threads fade away quickly on their own because not too many members respond.

That's the goal of the Myers-Briggs test. One thing that people don't understand about it is it's a measurement of how you see yourself. Forcing you to make a choice is part of why it works. If you're stressing over which answer fits you're not approaching it correctly. Neither statement has to fit you at all, you just have to make a choice as to which one fits better. Both can be poor choices.

The Myers-Briggs test was based on the works of Carl G. Jung's theory

"... Jung didn't believe that types were easily identifiable, and he didn't believe that people could be permanently slotted into one category or another. "Every individual is an exception to the rule," he wrote; to "stick labels on people at first sight," in his view, was "nothing but a childish parlor game." "-Malcome G

NTs make the world go round; NFs give it a reason to do so.

But not as annoying as Ss who use a thousand words instead of 10 ;-)

I disagree. I honestly can't remember ever meeting a J that didn't annoy the living bejesus out of me.

I varied from INTP to INTJ. We did it in History & Systems and again in Cognitive and Physiological.

You are either a J or a P. J is judging and P is Perceiving. Those names don't really fit well to me, they are basically structured and unstructured.

I think which is which depends on what you are. To me Js are unhinged!

J = linear thinking; P = spider-webbed thinking.
Not sure how accurate they are, but [celebritytypes.com] has a list of various people who fit certain personality types. According to them, Griffin shares ENTP with Socrates, Machiavelli, Chairman Mao, and Henry Kissinger (among others).

HA! Actually I tend to be more NF than NT. But that celebrity list might be worse. Although I think it includes Mark Twain and Walt Disney.
