Supposed to be YouTube without the ads. Wondering if it's legit.

On my laptop, I've used AdBlock Plus for years, and have been able to block out any and all ads, even on Youtube. However, on my phone...nope....ads are there. But they're not too overwhelming. Never heard of Hooktube.
Never heard of it, but just googled it. It avoids tracking your personal activity on youtube, but the person who created the video doesn't get the view count so they lose income. Seems like something people in China or North Korea would need to avoid government censorship.
