How do you store bread in a breadbox?

Panettone is an Italian fruitcake available around Christmas. It is not like those dense fruitcakes most people know of and don't eat, LOL.

I always have both milk and heavy cream on hand. Once in a while it will be straight cream, but I like half and half better. My regular French toast just has vanilla for flavoring. When using the panettone I swap it out for Grand Marnier and add orange zest.

It has been a few years, but for a long time I would make it with either challah or french bread and egg nog during the holidays. It doesn't get any easier because it is just bread dipped in egg nog. No need to add anything else except maybe a dusting of nutmeg after the toast is cooked.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.

I got my mom a funny Christmas card one year about the fruitcake that traveled around the world...because every recipient regifted it, LOL. I thought it was funny as heck, she didn't. She used to make fruitcake and I always hated it, I didn't think that card was going to hurt her feelings, I thought she would get a good laugh about it!!! Nope.
