Lost Wallet

I lost my wallet on Tuesday. I didn't even realize it until I got a call from the reception staff in the building I was working at.

Some kind sole had handed it in. The wallet contained all the usual cards including; banking, ID and insurance etc. And more than 200 dollars in cash and some expensive tickets.

When I asked about giving a reward, the receptionists told me it wasn't necessary.

Lesson Learned: Cut down the number of cards I carry on a daily basis.

I found a portfolio on the metro. I took a picture of the business card in the inside flap and turned it into the station manager where I got off. I sent dude a text. He never replied. I hope he got it (the portfolio).

Not a wallet -- but I found someones check book once. There was a signed check inside for their water/sewer bill that they had predated and signed it was made out to cash with a note "for the water bill" -- suppose they were just waiting to fill it in after they found out how much things were going to cost. I turned it in to a cashier but I didn't feel good about the location, and I stealthily took the check and shredded it up. I found the couple on Facebook, sent a photo of the ripped up check, and let them know I had turned their checkbook in. I even let the lady know the check number so she could make sure nothing was missing from her check book once she got it back. I was in a somewhat seedy area of Ohio.
