best tablet

I'm brand new to mystery shops and I'm wondering what is the best tablet to get. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks M

New and up to date is best. I have an LG I bought from AT&T that is only two years old and it is already too slow to use. They aren't great for photos either. You will need to rely on your cell phone for that. My new Amazon 10 tablet is being delivered today. I'll let you know if it pans out in a few days. Today was the release date and I pre-ordered it last week. $149 for 32 or $189 for 64 and expandable to 128.

Depends on your budget and what you plan on using it for...

Totally agree. Let us know what you are using it for. For example I find a cell phone is easier to take with me on shops for pictures vs. using a tablet. Do you plan to enter reports on a tablet, etc?

Samsung tablets are awesome. I bought a very basic one on eBay. It has 8GB memory and is wifi only. I outgrew that very quickly.

OK, I plan to enter my reports, to keep track of expenses, past shops, and correspondence when I'm traveling. That's all I can think of right now. Thanks M
You should get a Microsoft Surface device. I use one for work and they are most flexible devices on the market.
I agree with the microsoft surface if you don't have a computer at home. Otherwise a Samsung 10.1 is the best ever, especially with at least 64mb.
I'm sorry, I must disagree. "Consumer Reports is removing its “recommended” designation from four Microsoft laptops and cannot recommend any other Microsoft laptops or tablets because of poor predicted reliability in comparison with most other brands." [www.consumerreports.org].
I've been involved with computers since they became mainstream and I personally wouldn't buy any system with the Microsoft Operating System. Too many problems with the code. Example - Several years ago all the Ford vehicles used microsoft for their Myford sync radio/entertainment system. It was a disaster. Ford finally wised up and didn't use it anymore. I almost bought an Escape but didn't because of that. I pay a little bit more but the apple systems are very reliable. Just my opinion.

BTW - I think a physical keyboard is a must for easier typing.

Sprint starting now has 50% off their phone tablets that have the S-pen...great deal.

So.... You're on MAC OS? Linux? Windows, whether it be 7 or 10, is pretty much a standard for computers, in general.

For a year I had the use of an iPad with a Logitech keyboard attached. The device was the same size as the Surface I had, but I hardly used it. I guess it was an entry level model. The keyboard was terrible. I had other issues with the iPad.

Anyway, the trend seems to be tablets with attached keyboards and smart cases. Companies like Google make them so there is plenty of choice.

Avoid the cheaper versions.
I use an imac desktop running chrome/safari for reporting. I use cell phone for all pictures/geoverify in the field.
