Does anyone here raise bugs for food?

Get your cricket protein bars here.

$2.85 for 10 grams of protein?

I can easily get 150-200 grams of protein for 3-4 dollars.

Yup, so far eating crickets is not living up to cheap protein by eating insects.

I am interested to find out who here raises bugs for their protein source. After some research, bugs produce very minimal waste compared to farm animals. To those that have bug farms at home, what kind of set-up do you have and how many bugs/larvea does it yield per week?

As someone who lifts weights 4-5 times a week, I'm always trying to find the cheapest form of protein for my muhscules.

Never raised them for me to eat. Have raised them to feed exotic animals.

And yes, I was the chick who has traveled overseas and didn't insult the host/hostess by eating some deep fried bugs.

They were deep fried and came with dipping sauce.

I love tempura coated deep fried shrimp heads.

Right now I don't make breakfast wine, but I do enjoy a nice little of sake with a lichi ball every now and then.
