I had a friend who attempted to sell it, but it only really went anywhere for her at craft fairs, going live on Facebook, and around Christmas time... and even then, it didn't really work out. It's another of those MLM pyramid type sales. Apparently their premise is that everything is only $5 so it's affordable and will sell, and you make half of that...
Hop on eBay and the same exact stuff is coming from China for $0.49-$0.99 shipped. The MLM company probably pays $0.25 an item or less for it in that case. Making $2.25 profit per item as the comany is a good gig if you have 1.2 million stay at home moms attempting to "own their own business" and "take control of their finances" via MLM. Some folks do great at MLM, but most do not.
If they need to make $1500 a month, they'll have to sell $3,000 or more in merch which is 600 jewelry items. I know Davi Pi can do math
If you tell your friend it's a bad idea, they'll likely get mad and do it anyway. I have a relative doing Origami Owl and I just don't see the profit being made. If anything, it's more stress and less lucrative than just going out once a week and using that time for a little mystery shop.
