2018 New years resolution!

I've probably had around 20-30 cigarettes last year, which is a big improvement from the year before. I'm going to aim for 0 next year, with an occasional cigar here and there. I'm going to maintain my gym routine and it's been consistent for close to a year now. My goal is to reach 16 dead hang pull ups by the end of next year(currently can do 10-12.

I also want to see if I have the commitment to to type in colorful font for 1 whole year. Who knows, maybe this will catch on and everyone will start doing it.

My resolution as far as the forum goes is that I will avoid DavePi's threads in the future. While I have enjoyed a few of his threads, some more than others, I admit, I find the colors hard to read and annoying and a give me a powerful reason to not even want to open threads he posts to. I would love it if DavePi's new resolution was to cut it out with the colors. But maybe shopper8 and I are the only ones whose eyes are bothered.
The continuous colors are hard on my eyes as well. It's also hard on my poor brain!! Once in a while having a word in color is good for emphasis, but I think this may be a bit of overkill....just saying!
I will try to use easier to read colors from now on. I'm trying my best to please my fanbase while being a unique individual on this forum. That is my nindo way.

I suggest using one color, giving post a bit of pazah while not interfering with members eyesight.,between my eye drops and your newfound colors, it's a bit rough....so I'll have to say ado.

Keep the colors. They liven up the place.

There is at least one way for readers to see the text without the color. If we highlight the text, it shows up as white in a blue background. That is easy on my eyes. Other people might like to view that.

2018 finds my resolution encouraging (perhaps) leading a seniors class at the center to help woman seniors having lost their husbands and never lived alone, ways of finding yourself again and enjoying life....it maybe a two by two world, but there is great self fulfillment in standing on your own. I was asked a few years ago, but wasn't ready. My daughter has a client she counsels who is 72, and going back to school....the spirit doesn't age.
I also want to travel more than I did last year which was zero....cruising will be new to me, but I like the thought...

^^^^^^^^ Good for you, Irene!! That sounds like an awesome opportunity to help older, single-again women!! I have always been rather independent, so even though I am still married, I would be able to function alone if I had to. But I know of some women, younger than myself (& I'm no spring chicken...ha ha!!) who would be absolutely scared to death if they found themselves in that situation! I also know of a woman about 10 years older than I am, whose husband has EVERYTHING set up in case something would ever happen to him, and she still fears how she would get along. I think you would be providing an incredibly invaluable service!! Go for it if you can!!
I will continue with my library book club. Reading is one of the most important ways for me to learn. I love to read. I am joining the YMCA and Yoga to keep in healthy shape. I used to walk 4 miles in all weather, can't do it any more, it is too cold and icy around the ocean. I will always try to eat nutritionally at every meal. I want to live to be 100 in good health. My mother, uncle and grand mother lived to almost one hundred. They didn't drink, smoke anything and did not eat out. Not me! My grandmother walked to church everyday. My uncle was the oldest living police officer, he was a sheriff in Oregon and worked until 92. My mother just watched General Hospital and ate properly, she did work as a nurse for years. I also am an artist, like to paint and help out at the Senior center.

I'm going to find a good wine to have for breakfast. Any ideas?

Champagne or Prosecco is always appropriate for breakfast.

Having 20-30 cigarettes a year is okay. That is about a cigarette every two weeks. At that rate, would it be easier to smoke one every two months. That would bring you down to six a year. At the cost of a pack at $10-$12. One pack is lasting the year. Must be stale by that point. Take up an extra exercise regime. One could go from 16 dead hangs to 25, and no cigarettes. Especially if you have already been consistent with your gym routine.
My newest resolution is to drink more, so i just bought a bottle of the newest "Vanilla bourbon", and will try one drink this evening....making coffee and bourbon, I said one.
