MS Shop photos

What would you do if a MSC asked you to take a picture of the location with you in front of it? Basically, a self-pic with the location behind you as your proof of visit?

i would curse the geniuses who had previously cheated on their shops to push the MSC to make such an obnoxious requirement.

I feel the same way. Would you even do the shop? They claim that they won't share the photo with the client but I'm on the fence on whether or not to do the shop.

I would. Personally, I wouldn't have a concern about my privacy. The client likely has you on video. Especially if you submitted a receipt or reported an employee's name and time of the interaction. Few retail stores or restaurants that get shopped do not have surveillance cameras. And they do review footage. Which makes me think this requirement is for the MSC to verify that the shopper was really there, not something the client needs. I imagine this requirement resulted from a very uncomfortable phone call from a big client.

I’ve seen it exactly one time, a mall Chinese food place back when I first started shopping. Seemed a little weird, but I did it.

I haven’t come across this requirement since then with any other shop.

This is a requirement for the Direct TV shops, although they aren't a mystery shop. I did it. Maritz wants the same thing with the whole vest pic. Those I take in front of the bathroom mirror with my face covered by the phone.

If it was a mystery shop I would not do it. Either way, it makes me very uneasy.

Have your spouse take a picture of your in front of the store with your most winter clothing on. Drive around the corner, remove the excess clothes and return to perform the shop. Some of these MSCs are beyond the call of duty, wanting so many pictures of us, the Shopper.
