What's the best birthday present (material gift) you have ever received?

This doesn't have to be date specific, if a gift or perceived gift was received in the same month (or year), it's fine and I consider it to be a birthday gift!

I know it sounds odd, but this year I got a really fabulous office chair (and a really nice dinner) for my birthday, which I am thrillllllled about. Especially the chair. What was your favorite?

My favorite B-day gift was gift card for a great spa in town, facial, mani/pedi from my daughter. The second favorite was a beautiful pair of earrings with my birthstone also from my daughter. Third was a trip to Cabo on my 40th B-day from my ex, who planned the whole thing.
edited to add: I always (for every holiday) get a hand picked meaningful card with a note written, sometimes funny, always meaningful. I have shoe boxes full that I treasure.

An Amazon parrot + cage & assorted accoutrement$.

My neighbor has one of those and a few of the neighbors signed a petition to get the parrot out. Luckily, he was able to keep the parrot after he got a lot of signatures in support. It's a lovely parrot.

My husband dropped me at a Spa for my birthday a couple of years ago. It was a 1 hour Swedish massage followed by a mud wrap. Then we saw a movie and he made dinner. What more could I have asked for?

Two presents come to mind...for my 50th birthday Hubby arranged a surprise weekend trip to Disney World for the two of us, only telling me to make sure to pack comfortable clothes and a swim suit. A couple of years ago Middle Son and DIL gave me a Thai massage, which was a completely new style to me.

Anything and everything my DD's gift me. They are so very thoughtful. My DH and I are so proud. T'was my birthday. Youngest daughter presented me with the most gorgeous bouquet of exotic, beautiful flowers. DD #1 bought me a toasty, fleece bathrobe from VS. DD #2 made me a beautiful card signed by all 3 and a Spa day at Elizabeth Arden's Red Door. It's amazing to see them grow. Feeling the love for all of you!

Okay, so this gets points for creativity. This guy I was dating, we were talking about gifts for each other. I told him that I like practical gifts.

For my birthday he gave me a Costco package of toilet paper.

My all-time favorite was when I received an entire sheet cake mailed to me in pristine condition from my mother while I was stationed in South Korea on a field exercise in the middle of summer, late 90s. This package was completely unexpected. I volunteered my birthday cake with the other soldiers within my unit, which turned out to be a huge morale booster during a very tough time.

Probably the best birthday gift that I've ever received.
Okay this was actually an anniversary gift, but I think it's close enough. Oh and it will sound totally nuts to some of you. One year my husband found a place where I could go tandem skydiving. It was probably 50 miles from home and he didn't tell me where we were going so it was a total surprise. My husband knew that I had always wanted to go skydiving (since 5th grade anyway) so he finally figured out a way to make it happen.

Bonus: He rides a motorcycle and really wants me to go riding with him. I have told him that I'll ride on his motorcycle when he jumps out of a plane with me. I'm still waiting after 15 years since I went skydiving. lol
