Um, no. Buy them at a store near the venue. Or put them in an ice chest. Guess it’s a terrible idea.
Dry ice might have worked, but she was carpooling with several people and limited space. Popsicles are wonderful, but she wasn't even sure if there was a refrigerator much less a freezer.
Now, now. Popsicles are fun! They glisten when they ooze! How can you now appreciate this. Who Are You?!? grinning smiley Ketchup painting is fun, too..... All you need is slithery onion slices, ketchup and any color of clothing that you wish to customize with that elusive, melty, ketchup-y red. I have taste tested this, and I have color tested my clothing with this. I strongly recommend it. Mind you, this was a default discovery. Halfway between home and nowhere, my quickie burger began to play. (We do not have a DVD in the car, so I surmise that it was bored.) It was quiet, at first. Then, there was the wee-est 'plop' and wala! there was art on my shirt. I did my best to smoosh the color around and try to make a silk pattern. But... well... no. But it is so pretty that I simply must recommend this fun way to play with food. This can work at pot luck meals or anywhere burgers are served...

You're right. Everybody does.

Last summer we got a new pastor at our church. After the bishop installed him, instead of having a fancy reception, he had a popsicle party in the church courtyard. (It was hot, so most people took their popsicles to go, but still a creative idea.)

Problem being, in this heat, they would melt all over hands, then going into pool not a good idea. Having foods that are easy to eat and not messy, a better idea, although popsicles sound good. Changed my plan of making salad, bringing cold chicken drumsticks, chips and paper plate.s....
