Handy Things To Do With Banking App

Y'all are probably WAAAYYYYYY ahead of me on this, but I've done something NEW with my bank's phone app that I find particular HANDY as a mystery shopper!! I used the app's "Deposit A Check" feature to deposit two checks this week that I received from two different MSCs. In the past, it's been discussed on this forum about how uncomfortable it can be to go up to a teller and deposit a check with the words "Mystery Shopping" or some other similar wording on it....dead giveaway, right?? Well, NO MORE!! Now, in the privacy of my own home, I have securely deposited two checks this week, so that no teller will know from whence they came!!! HOORAH!!

Anything else anyone has ever done with their bank's phone app that is particularly beneficial to us as mystery shoppers??? Like I said, most of you have probably gone way beyond me with stuff like this, but I just wanted to share how easy and safe it was to do this!! Oh, and once I see the checks are deposited, I just tear up the original checks and toss them. Easy peasy!!

guys, check with your bank to see what their retention policy is for holding the checks. I deposited two checks on 9-13-2018, but only one went through. I didn't realize it until this week, and I had to redeposit it. That wasn't your situation. Still, check with your financial institution.

Honny, I did call them, and made sure of their policy about tearing up the checks. As long as I see it was deposited, I can tear it up. If I don't see it deposited, I would call them and they could check for me. But so far, so good! And so handy!!

ETA: Honny, glad you had such a great time in France...a once in a lifetime memory maker!

When will you graduate? Where will you go?

I graduate (hopefully) in 2020. I will go on a 10 day tour of Africa (Dubai, a safari in Kenya, and some other places). I have some time to think about it. It will be with the same travel company.
