Sending Flowers?

Can anyone recommend a good website to use? Trying to send flowers to a friend, but I've never done it before. It seems like a lot of sites are 3rd party and I'm trying to avoid that (and their extra added fees).

Try to find a florist near the person you are sending them to. Then call that florist directly.

You will eliminate the service fees and the recipient will be able to contact the florist easily if the flowers die too quickly.
Going to your local florist will give you a clue as to how much they charge for sending them.

I do have a suggestion if your friend is younger and enjoys artsy types of things: Proflowers.com

They have freshly cut flowers that they send in a box straight from the grower, along with the leather-leaf ferns, baby's breath, or other foliage accentuations, and you can include a vase or other add-ons with the order (chocolates, etc.). The person then gets to cut the flowers and arrange them to their personal tastes. It's sooo much less expensive to do that and the flowers last for a really long time, much longer than ordinary cut arrangements from a florist. If it's a gift for someone who doesn't have time or inclination to do that, I do think that they also have some arrangements and plants as well.
Aw that's sweet! If you use ProFlowers, they have a freshness guarantee, where if the blooms flop & drop w/in 7 days they'll resend the same arrangement.
That happened to me once. I contacted them and did receive a replacement.

I so agree with using ProFlowers and local florists. I have also used 1800Flowers with some success.
