I just wanted to extend my deepest thanks, on this Veterans Day, to all those who served in the military. Your sacrifices will always be remembered!

Thanks are also due to those who have risked their lives providing them medical care; to those who put their lives on the line, reporting the truth; those who sought to save military (wo)men by standing up to the impulse (by some administrations) to war on the basis of falsehoods; to the diplomats who have worked tirelessly, often with their lives on the lines too, completing the all-important mission of preventing war in the first place; and to those inventors, teachers, engineers, and librarians without whom war would still be on horseback.

While all of those professions and groups certainly deserve thanks and recognition. However, most (all) of them have their own special day of thanks and remembrance throughout the year already.
I really wanted to thank the members of our armed forces, both past and present, on this Veterans Day.
