Who is William Rainford?
Edited to add: I answered my own question by doing a google search, and found out William Rainford was the
Dean of the Catholic school of social service who was suspended for being pro and tweeting this about Kavanagh...I do find this info. interesting, there are times I need to know what I am reading....thank you very much!!
Rainford's questions are spot on, and that school needs new leadership at all levels. The new leadership will need support from its powers that be (and possibly new tptb) as it develops discernment, strength, and a sense of propriety. Someone needs to restore independent thought and make it okay for students and academic folk to pursue truth. If this means standing up to spurious charges, so be it. Universities are supposed to be about learning how to think, not about being told what to think and taught to think via a system of punishments and rewards. The William Rainfords of the world should be free to question and seek truth instead of being punished for engaging in critical thinking. Since when do their students and the rest of the world have to lie down and play dead when the radical part of feminism makes false accusations and does so with the intention of ruining other people's lives? Since when do the falsely accused have no recourse against the onslaught of inflammatory and damaging bs that is flung at them? Fortunately, Swetnik has been referred for criminal investigation; there are many appropriate and legitimate ways and places for reporting abuse; and there may be hope for freedom of thought and inquiry.
